When I first started play dCrops 25 days ago (I thought it was 27 days ago for some reason but my first post says "25 days ago" so I will trust the blockchain) there were 36,040 Alpha packs were available and HIVE was $0.476916. There are now only 19,251 Alpha packs left and HIVE is up to $0.7437.

I went ahead and bought 10 more Alpha packs to hodl. The hodling reward value is 2000 points each alpha pack. That alone makes it worth hodling them.

Bought a pack to hold, and bought a cheap land and summer crop (Wheat I think), will be buying in slowly overtime!

Any recommendations for a newbie?

To be honest, not much to say other than do the math before starting a season. Look at the possible share/crops value of each seed card before planting. Sometimes the more common seeds might be worth planting over an uncommon. That's why I planted turnips and wheat more than I did watermelon.

I actually just sold some Ethereum Classic to invest in more Alpha Packs and cards. They are selling quick enough and the Hive Engine Token (CROPS) seems to be following HIVE well. As well as some other Hive game assets, like SPS. HIVE is doing well and there are a crazy amount of new users coming in, many of them due to Splinterlands, many will find their way over to dCrops. If dCrops can follow similar growth patterns as Splinterlands, or just a chunk of it, I think dCrops will do well long term.
