Harvesting rice 🌾🌾🌾🌾
Hello everyone and I hope everyone is okey and happy.
And today I want to share to all of you our rice harvest.
After more than three months of waiting, we are now harvesting rice. This rice field is not ours but we are planters and harvesters. And our salary is a percentage of planting and it depends on the amount of crops harvested. And also we had a bonus given. ☺️☺️
One day the owner informed us that we are going to harvest rice and we are excited because we think the harvest is good because we see that the rice grows well. It can be seen that the stalk of rice is healthy and heavy because of the fruit. And it is well taken care of by the owner and there is no shortage of fertilizer, insecticides and especially water.
So, last tuesday we started harvesting. We singled out the cutting of rice and put it to one side to beat it so that the fruit would fall. And it took two days to cut the rice and thresh it. We are very happy harvesting and excited to finish so we won't be able to buy rice at the market for a few weeks. And even though it was hot because we were exposed to the sun, we didn't think about it as long as we only wanted to finish immediately. We don't think about tiredness because we are happy and we love what we do.
And now on the third day, separate the rice with flesh and the husk of rice without flesh by using a nigo and wait for the right wind to blow the empty rice husks. This is what we used to do because we don't have a blower or a thresher machine. But it's okay, we're happy with this because while working we were able to talk and sometimes joking, so the laughter didn't disappear.
And this is the partial clean rice separated from the empty rice husk. More was harvested today compared to the previous harvest because before there was little water supply especially in summer. One of the main problems in rice fields is the low water supply and the season of insects. And luckily now nature is on our side so we are all happy.
And these are the empty rice husks.
And we still have a lot of rice that needs to be cleaned and separate from the empty husks.
What I can say is that our hard work and effort in the rice fields paid off well.
And to all the rice farmers, how is your harvest?
That's all about today in our rice harvest. I hope you like it. See you again guys.
Thank you and happy harvesting everyone. 💖💕❤️☺️
I once joined my parents in rice harvesting when I was very young. I didn't help them but enjoyed the time I could play around even though it was scorching hot. I think the rice husks could make you feel itchy all over your body, so my parents warned me not to play around with them.
Hello @coloringiship yes we are same when I'm in very young age my parents take me to the rice field it's up to me if i will help them or not. But one day I realize that I need to learn how to plant and harvest the rice plant to help my parents. And yes the rice husk is very itchy that is why we need to wear jacket and pants. Thank you so much for dropping by and have a nice day.. ☺️
