Small red Cat
We met this little cat in Kavala on the mainland. To this day, I still find it extremely interesting what different personalities cats can develop and, above all, have. My house cats at home are more or less afraid of other people. It took several weeks for them to become trusting towards us, and every time we come back from holiday, it takes a few days until they are trusting again. Again, the little cat here was not afraid of me at all. He had seen me, ran towards me and was more than friendly. For many cats in Greece, people simply mean food - which means that a lot of them become trusting quite quickly. The fearful cats are usually much thinner than the trusting ones. Not being afraid is apparently rewarded, at least in this respect.
You say jump, I asked "How high?"
Here you can see the fearless little man jumping towards me. In moments like this I always notice that my autofocus on the A7 III is fast, but not fast enough when I'm taking a single shot. If I had switched on continuous shooting here, the photo would certainly have been sharper - afterwards you're always smarter.
The jumping power of a cat always impresses me anew. Sometimes it looks as if they are flying, however they do it.
My friend always says: "You pay your models" - by that she means only cats - unfortunately I have no experience with human photography. But this time I didn't have any treats with me. But somehow the cat didn't seem to mind. He sat in front of me, started yawning, looked at me again and just kept walking. In this situation, too, my autofocus had not cooperated as I wanted it to. So for my next visit to Kavala, I will definitely use continuous shooting.

Kleine rote Katze
Diesen kleinen Kater haben wir in Kavala am Festland getroffen. Ich finds bis heute immer noch extrem interessant welch unterschiedlichen Persönlichkeiten Katzen entwickeln können und vor allem haben. Meine Stubentiger zu Hause haben mehr oder weniger Angst vor jedem anderen Menschen. Bis diese zu uns zutraulich waren, hat es mehrere Wochen gedauert und immer wieder wenn wir aus dem Urlaub kommen, dauert es einige Tage bis sie wieder zutraulich sind. Wiederum der kleine Kater hier, hatte gar keine Angst vor mir. Er hatte mich gesehen, lief auf mich zu und war mehr als freundlich unterwegs. Für viele Katzen in Griechenland bedeuten Menschen einfach Nahrung - wodurch sehr viele recht schnell zutraulich sind. Die Ängstlichen Katzen sind in der Regel auch wesentlich dünner, als die zutraulichen. Keine Angst haben wird zu mindest in der Hinsicht scheinbar belohnt.

Hier sieht man den furchtlosen kleinen Mann wie er zu mir hinspringt. In solchen Momenten merke ich immer wieder dass mein Autofocus der A7 III zwar schnell ist, aber nicht ausreichend schnell genug, wenn man in der Einzelaufnahme ist. Hätte ich hier Serienaufnahmen eingeschaltet gehabt, wäre das Foto sicherlich schärfer geworden - nachher ist man immer schlauer.
Die Sprungkraft einer Katze beeindruckt mich doch immer wieder aufs neue. Manchmal wirkt es so als würden diese fliegen, wie auch immer sie das anstellen.
Meine Freundin sagt immer: "Du bezahlst deine Models" - damit meint sie ausschließlich Katzen - mit Menschenfotografie habe ich leider keinerlei Erfahrung. Diesmal hatte ich aber keine Leckerlis dabei. Aber irgendwie schien es den Kater nicht zu stören. Er saß vor mir, fing an zu Gähnen, schaute mich nochmal an und ging einfach weiter. Auch in dieser Situation hatte mein Autofocus nicht so mitgespielt wie ich es haben wollte. Also für meinen nächsten Besuch in Kavala werde ich auf jeden Fall mit Serienaufnahme arbeiten.

(NB: I just today noticed a cool offer - 5-day trip to Iran, places with ancient history... exactly what the doctor recommends for me personally! But do you know what the price tag is? 2000 euros for 5 days... it looks like a bad deal joke. That's about 5-6 of my monthly salaries. Work for six months to rest for 5 days? Ridiculous!). So, in general, any travelling is out of the question for me...
Despite the sanctions, you can still obtain Steam games - just 2 more levels of intermediaries are being added, and that’s it. I have long wanted to get acquainted with the game Borderlands, a month ago I bought the first game in the series, and now I’m pumping up my character with all my might. A fun game, a very interesting world, although I'm not sure it's a game with a good degree of replayability.

Oh damn that‘s intense - that‘s for real a lot of money for a holiday. Is there any way you could make a great holiday maybe off season etc. but should be still very expensive?

iNDEED, IT IS! Its supposed to be working. I have faith in it. Almost 2 years have gone, no result yet. My wife believes it too. She, er... pretend this is the way you should go, and sit and do nothing - the world will do the rest. (In specifically this question, I mean). But that is not 100% correct, that is not all you need to do... heh.
As for Borderlands: I cant buy it (and damn load of other games) on Steam. I dont even see these games in Steam shop. But I obtain the activation codes (at some shop), feed them to Steam and - voyla ! - all of a sudden, I have this game, which I supposed to have absolutely no access in Russia now. Rediculous. Just more intermediate levels involved, more money paid, etc.

Haha - My GF told me about the Distrubution System, we cheated a little bit. There is a animal rescue organization around 50 KM away from us, and we then helped them by getting 2 cats from spain that were kinda traumatized. Now - I think they are really happy. :D
