@Bluemoon. Thassos is a 380 square kilometer island with just under 13,000 inhabitants. What makes it very pleasant to live here outside the vacation seasons. Currently, however, many neighboring countries have summer vacations and the island bursts from my perception from all seams. This may also be due to the fact that Croatia, also a very popular vacation destination, has had the Euro since the beginning of the year and prices there have skyrocketed. One thing struck me immediately, the Internet connection on the smartphone is a disaster this year. As a Pokemon GO player, it is actually already subconscious that you look abroad first, which Pokemon are on site. This time, however, sometimes not even the loading screen loads to the end. After experimenting a bit, I was at least able to make the Internet a bit more usable.
The Solution? Turn off 5G. The nearest 5G tower is on the mainland, so the smartphone opts for 5G transmission, but it is hopelessly overloaded over the distance. 4G at least allows 2MB/s.

In my opinion, there is not much to photograph in Potos. Nevertheless, the place is popular with tourists. There is an extremely long beach and relatively cheap hotels. On the beach promenade there are also some beach bars that are open for quite a long time and are therefore quite interesting for "party vacationers". One of the things that are often photographed in Potos is one of the cruise ships. I must confess that when I think of Potos, this immediately comes to mind.

Ich weiss hier gibt es den ein oder anderen Thassos Enthusiasten, bspw.
@Bluemoon. Thassos ist eine 380 Quadratkilometer große Insel mit knapp 13.000 Einwohnern. Was es außerhalb der Ferienzeiten sehr angenehm macht hier zu leben. Aktuell haben jedoch viele anliegende Länder Sommerferien und die Insel platzt aus meiner Wahrnehmung aus allen Nähten. Mag eventuell auch daran liegen, das Kroatien, ebenfalls ein sehr beliebtes Urlaubsziel, seit Anfang des Jahres den Euro hat und die Preise dort extrem in die Höhe geschnellt sind. Eine Sache fiel mir sofort auf, die Internetverbindung am Smartphone ist dieses Jahr eine Katastrophe. Als Pokemon GO Spieler ist es eigentlich schon unterbewusst, dass man im Ausland erstmal schaut, welche Pokemon vor Ort sind. Diesmal lädt aber teilweise nichtmal der Ladescreen zu Ende. Nachdem ich etwas rumexperimentiert habe konnte ich zumindest dafür sorgen, dass das Internet etwas nutzbarer geworden ist.
Die Lösung? 5G ausstellen. Der nächste 5G Turm steht auf dem Festland dementsprechend entscheidet sich das Smartphone für die 5G Übertragung, diese ist aber hoffnungslos überlastet auf die Distanz. 4G ermöglicht zumindest 2MB/s.

In Potos gibt es meiner Meinung nach nicht sehr viel zu fotografieren. Beliebt ist der Ort bei Touristen trotzdem. Hier gibt es einen extrem langen Strand und verhältnismäßig günstige Hotels. An der Strandpromenade gibt es darüber hinaus noch einige Beach-Bars, die recht lange offen haben und dadurch für "Party-Urlauber" recht interessant sind. Eines der Dinge die häufig in Potos fotografiert werden ist eines der Rundfahrtschiffe. Dazu muss ich gestehen, wenn ich an Potos denke, kommt mir dieses sofort in den Sinn.
