Сербія. Ужице. Відпустка 2021 – Serbia. Užice. Holiday 2021

Наша цікава літня відпустка продовжується. Ось ми і заїхали до Сербії. Однак почався дощ, тому цікавих фото не робили, проїхали швиденько по окружній Белград та по новенькому автобану дісталися містечка Чачак, після якого вже по темній гірській дорозі доїхали до місця ночівлі – Ужице.

Our interesting summer vacation continues. So we drove to Serbia. However, it started to rain, so no interesting photos were taken, we drove quickly around the district of Belgrade and on the brand new highway we reached the town of Čačak, after which we reached the place of accommodation - Uzice - on a dark mountain road.

Місто розглядали вже вранці і виявилося, що воно знаходиться в горах, якими оточене з усіх боків. Містечко дуже затишне, не надто туристичне, місцями пошарпане але з відчутним балканським колоритом. Не дуже відчувалося, що ми не вдома – багато чого схожого на Україну, хоча відмінностей також вистачало.

The city was examined in the morning and it turned out that it is located in the mountains, which are surrounded on all sides. The town is very cozy, not very touristy, shabby in places but with a noticeable Balkan flavor. It didn't feel like we were home - a lot like Ukraine, although there were plenty of differences.

Місто Ужице має давню історію, в часи середньовіччя тут відбувалися запеклі баталії, з 1463 р. по 1807 р. місто перебувало під владою Османської імперії. А в 1941 році, коли вся інша територія Сербії була окупована в даній місцевості виникла Ужицька республіка де переховувались партизани. Правда протрималась вона не довго, тільки осінь. Після цього сюдизнов зайшли німці і партизани були вимушені відступити через гори до Чорногорії та Боснії.

The city of Užice has a long history, during the Middle Ages there were fierce battles, from 1463 to 1807 the city was under the rule of the Ottoman Empire. And in 1941, when the rest of Serbia was occupied in this area, the Republic of Uzice emerged, where guerrillas were hiding. However, it did not last long, only in the fall. After that, the Germans came here again and the guerrillas were forced to retreat through the mountains to Montenegro and Bosnia.

До речі існує в історії Ужице сторінка з невеселим недалеким минулим, коли в 1999 році авіація НАТО бомбардувала місто в рамках боротьби із режимом Мілошевича. В мене не склалась однозначна уява про відношення до тих подій у місцевих жителів, треба більше часу для цього прожити в місті, та в Сербії в цілому.

By the way, there is a page in the history of Uzice with a sad recent past, when in 1999 NATO aircraft bombed the city in the fight against the Milosevic regime. I do not have a clear idea of the attitude of the locals to those events, it takes more time to live in the city, and in Serbia in general.

Також поруч з Ужице є стара фортеця а через місто тече річка Детина, про яку я розкажу окремо.

There is also an old fortress near Uzice and the river Detina flows through the city, which I will talk about separately.

Загалом місто нам сподобалось і ми заїхали до нього ще й на зворотній дорозі до Києва, але про це буде інша розповідь.

In general, we liked the city and we visited it on the way back to Kyiv, but there will be another story.
