Rocket would have been the first pick of the NFL draft in 1991. Dallas traded for the pick to draft him. Then Ismail got that huge deal from Toronto. He wisely took the money. I can't complain because Dallas instead drafted defensive lineman Russell Maryland, who was a starter on the three Super Bowl teams in the 90's.
Rocket played well when he finally made it to Dallas, but the dynasty was over. I can remember his first game with the Cowboys because he caught a 75 yard bomb from Aikman in overtime to beat Washington.

Wow it's awesome to hear from someone that can truly remember these interesting sports events/history! I'm not sure I've heard of Russell Maryland, interesting stuff. Also interesting how the Cowboys and Ismail came full circle kind of!!
