How to Write a Lot of Content

As I said in one of my previous posts, I have been thinking about writing lately. I've been spending more time writing because I truly feel like it has a hyper-positive impact on my life. I love the way it makes me feel throughout the day and the thought that I'm doing something productive really helps.

But writing is hard... Writing requires us to sit still for an extended period of time. Writing requires us to flip our brain into create instead of consume mode... That ain't easy.

Create Instead of Consume Mode

The society we live in today is a society of consumption.

We are hit with 9000 different ways to consume content, consume goods, consume services.

Life is about consuming. People are always focused on getting that raise at work so they can consume that nicer dinner on the weekends. They're focused on working harder so they can drive a nicer car and signal status.

A society of consumption requires that people... consume.

Writing is asking yourself to stop consuming for 30 minutes or 1 hour or 2 hours a day. However much time you decide to allocate toward writing, you're asking your body and brain to turn off consumption mode and enter creation mode.

Instead of consuming all that society has to offer you, you're going to create something.

Create something for yourself. Create something for society.

You never know when something simple that you create can have a profound impact.

Only Create.. Never Consume?

NO! I'm not saying that you have to be some kind of monk that sits in a temple, head shaven and only 2 sets of robes to your name.

What I am saying is that you need to live a healthy life of both consumption and creation. Most people only consume, never create. This is unhealthy. This is unnatural.

In my opinion, this is one of the many issues with society today. Everyone is focused on consuming the next product and schools aren't teaching us to create.

Instead, I offer you a challenge: start writing. Make it easy. Start with just 5-10 minutes first thing when you wake up. One thing that I love to do is write down some random topics throughout the day and text them to myself.

Then when I wake up, I just open those messages to myself, pick a topic and start writing. It's really that easy. I challenge you to try this and see how your life changes. IMO, you'll become a clearer thinker, better speaker and better human being overall.

No it's 100% original. I spend a lot of time writing and reading content on Hive.

Are you downvoting me because you suspect it to be AI generated? Where is your proof?

If you have no proof, how do I prove the opposite? I hate this guilty until proven innocent side of Hive but if I have to prove that my content is generated by my own brain, I will.
