Danzas Miragua y C. C. S. D Miragua[Esp-Eng]

Una noche de enero de 1999 recibimos en casa una visita, era el profesor Alexis Malaver, el se disculpo por la hora pero nosotros no teníamos ningún problema en recibirlo, eran las 7 de la noche.

Su visita se debía a que el quería hacer un centro cultural que uniera a playa el agua y la Mira, nos parecio bien interesante la propuesta, así que conversamos al respecto y al otro día hicimos una convocatoria con nuestros amigos, la concurrencia fue masiva y la hicimos en mi casa.

One night in January 1999 we received a visit at home, it was Professor Alexis Malaver, he apologized for the time but we had no problem in receiving him, it was 7 o'clock at night.

His visit was because he wanted to make a cultural center that would unite Playa El Agua and La Mira, we found the proposal very interesting, so we talked about it and the next day we made a call with our friends, the concurrence was massive and we did it in my house.

Todos estuvieron de acuerdo con la propuesta pero añadieron que no querían que fuera solo cultural, sino social y deportivo y nos parecio perfecto, así que en menos de 2 meses ya teníamos registrado el centro cultural, social y deportivo Miragua.

Nos reuníamos todas las noches en mi casa, teníamos estatutos, himno, bandera y lo más importante mucho entusiasmo.
Así que solo faltaba alquilar un local y eso también lo conseguimos.

Everyone agreed with the proposal but they added that they did not want it to be only cultural, but social and sporting and we thought it was perfect, so in less than 2 months we had the Miragua cultural, social and sporting center registered.

We met every night in my house, we had statutes, anthem, flag and most importantly a lot of enthusiasm.
So all that was left was to rent a place and we managed to do that too.

Yo propuse crear una escuela de Danzas y fue aprobado por unanimidad, ya yo había echo un estudio de la cantidad de niñas que podrían integrar la escuela, ahora quien seria la directora y todos dijeron tú y yo respondí ¿yoooo? , eso no puede ser yo ni bailar se y todos dijeron es tu proyecto ya tienes todo, solo falta quien de las clases, una de las integrantes de la directiva del centro dijo yo puedo empezar mientras conseguimos quien de las clases.

Así que convocamos al pueblo a una reunión para tal fin y dijimos que el que estuviera interesado llevara de una vez Los requisitos para la inscripción.

I proposed to create a dance school and it was approved unanimously, I had already made a study of the number of girls who could integrate the school, now who would be the director and everyone said you and I answered "Yoooooo? That can't be me, I don't even know how to dance and everyone said it's your project, you already have everything, you just need someone to teach the classes, one of the members of the board of directors of the center said I can start while we get someone to teach the classes.

So we summoned the people to a meeting for this purpose and said that whoever was interested should bring the requirements for registration.

16 hermosas niñas incluyendo las 2 mías formaron Danzas Miragua, tuvimos un mes dando clases los sábados de 8 a 12 pero una de las integrantes de la Danza me dijo conocía al instructor de las Danzas de Antolin y le dije no se diga más citalo para el sábado así nos conocemos, ve a todas las niñas y hablamos si puede trabajar con nosotros y si puede si se ajusta a su horario y cuanto nos iba a cobrar, llego el tan esperado sábado y el hombre no se apareció, les confieso que me sentí un poco mal por las niñas pero no se lo demostre las envie a casa a las 11 am reiterando la invitación para el próximo sábado.

A las 12 del mediodía se apareció mi prima con el profesor en la casa y me dijo ¿y no me esperaron? Le dije no cree es una falta de respeto su impuntualidad y me dijo tu si eres brava y yo le dije no soy sincera y se me quedo viendo y me dijo pues me voy eres una atrevida y le respondí váyase pues no quiero imaginar como son sus clases si es así de impuntual siempre, se volteo me quedo mirando y me dijo pues me quedo me caes bien.

Entonces le dije hablemos pues y me creen si les digo que acepto darle clases a mis niñas todos los sábados de 8 a 12 del mediodía, sin cobrarnos nada, yo no cabía en mi de la emoción.
Reinaldo Subero es un gran maestro, muy profesional y con el aprendí muchísimas cosas, nos hicimos super amigos y hasta esposa consiguió por que se caso con la muchacha que inició dándole clases a las niñas.

16 beautiful girls including 2 of mine formed Danzas Miragua, we had a month of classes on Saturdays from 8 to 12 but one of the members of the dance told me she knew the instructor of the Antolin Dances and I told her to call him for Saturday so we could get to know each other, He sees all the girls and we talk if he can work with us and if he can if it fits his schedule and how much he would charge us, the long awaited Saturday arrived and the man did not show up, I confess that I felt a little bad for the girls but I did not show it I sent them home at 11 am reiterating the invitation for next Saturday.

Then I told him let's talk and do you believe me if I tell you that I agree to give classes to my girls every Saturday from 8 to 12 noon, without charging us anything, I couldn't believe my excitement.
Reinaldo Subero is a great teacher, very professional and with him I learned a lot of things, we became super friends and he even got a wife because he married the girl who started teaching the girls.

Nos reuníamos todas las noches, compartíamos ideas, fuimos a la dirección de cultura llevamos cartas y tuvimos reuniones con ellos y conseguimos los espejos un equipo de sonido, las mallas para las niñas y la tela para las faldas de cada una, después conseguimos con rifas, bingos y colaboración telas para el vestuario, lo hicimos nosotros mismos, teníamos 3 maquinas de coser.

Celebramos el primer aniversario de las Danzas por todo lo alto, se fue la luz y un señor nos presto una planta, todo quedo espectacular, la dirección de cultura nos regalo la impresión de 100 tripticos que yo elabore que eran la programación de la semana y la invitación, para nuestro aniversario fue el capellán de los centros culturales y dio la misa.

We met every night, we shared ideas, we went to the direction of culture we took letters and we had meetings with them and we got the mirrors, a sound system, the tights for the girls and the fabric for the skirts of each one, then we got with raffles, bingo and collaboration fabrics for the costumes, we did it ourselves, we had 3 sewing machines.

We celebrated the first anniversary of the Dances in style, the power went out and a man lent us a plant, everything was spectacular, the direction of culture gave us the printing of 100 triptychs that I elaborated that were the programming of the week and the invitation, for our anniversary was the chaplain of the cultural centers and gave the mass.

En el centro cultural hacíamos torneo de domino, ajedrez, basquet, truco, teníamos una mesa de ping pong, un juego de bolas criollas, juego de bingo, cartas, mesas sillas, termo de café y agua, papelería.
Dicte un curso de bisuteria y de adornos navideños y una representante de las danzas uno de ropa íntima.

In the cultural center we had a domino tournament, chess, basketball, truco, we had a ping pong table, a Creole ball game, a bingo game, cards, tables, chairs, coffee and water thermos, stationery.
I taught a course in costume jewelry and Christmas ornaments and a representative of the dances taught a course in lingerie.

Teníamos el club de los viejos robles, llevábamos a los niños de paseo, participabamos en los talleres de fedecene y a las actividades que nos invitaran, nuestro grupo musical(grupo Catre) era invitado a muchos eventos culturales, tuvimos 2 años de actividad y no pudimos seguir por no contar con recursos para el alquiler.

We had the club of the old oak trees, we took the children for walks, we participated in the fedecene workshops and in the activities that we were invited to, our musical group (Catre group) was invited to many cultural events, we had 2 years of activity and we could not continue because we did not have the resources for the rent.

1 vez a la semana el hotel miragua invitaba a las Danzas y les daba un incentivo.

Once a week the hotel miragua invited the Dances and gave them an incentive.

Fueron 2 años de mucho aprendizaje, muy bonitas experiencias y de saber que si te propones algo lo puedes lograr.
