INTRODUCTORY POST: I PRESENT MY FIRST HIVE POST.
Hello Hivers,
Good day everyone. I am excited to be a part of this unique community. Having recently heard about Hive from a senior friend, I really wished that I had known about it much earlier. It is quite fascinating to say the least, and I am wondering where I have been all these while. I am enthusiastic about this new journey, and I hope to enjoy the ride.
HOW I GOT TO KNOW ABOUT HIVE
I genuinely want to acknowledge and appreciate my senior friend @jaydr for introducing Hive to me. I had no idea of what it was about until he reached out to me through one of the social media platforms, and proposed that I should join the Hive Community. He made sure that I joined, and ensured that I had a smooth sail through the registration process, while enlightening me about how I can get to connect to different people of diverse cultures, tribes, race and ethnicities. I am actually looking forward to sharing my stories as a writer, mainly creative nonfiction, as well as posting my graphite and charcoal pencil works. I am so elated to interact with you all. Let me quickly do a brief introduction of who I am.
WHO AM I?
I am Chinedum EBISIKE Kenneth, 25 years old Nigerian. I am a Pharmacist who studied at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. I was born, and grew up in the ancient town of Badagry, Lagos state. I presently reside in Owo, Ondo state, where I am a serving National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member. NYSC is a mandatory one year program for all graduates of tertiary institutions in Nigeria. It seeks to promote integration and harmony of different tribes of the nation, while fostering peace and unity. Being one of the most ancient cities in Nigeria, Badagry possesses a myriad of ancient and historical features, some of which includes the iconic first storey building of Nigeria, Badagry slave trade museum (also known as Badagry Heritage Museum), the Brazilian Barracoon (which was said to be able to house up to 40 slaves), site of the velekete slave market, the point of no return, the first Methodist church in Nigeria (which is where I worship with the family whenever I am at home), Mobee museum, Whispering Palms, first primary school in Nigeria, and Suntan beach, which is a very good location for relaxation. Badagry served as a major site for the Trans-Atlantic slave trade of the 18th century, and is a point of reference in the history of Nigeria. It is also where Christianity was first preached in Nigeria. I will be very privileged to show any hiver around Badagry whenever I am around, simply include it in your comment and I will duly respond.
[Back in the University.]
[Induction day.]
[Internship was quite an experience.]
Although having spent all my years in Badagry, I am a native of the Igbo tribe of Nigeria, hailing from a small village called Umu-okeihe, Uhuhu, Umuahia, Abia state, Nigeria. Umuahia is the capital of my state. I do not get to visit my hometown regularly though, the last time being the Christmas period of 2012. My parents have paid more visits home than my siblings and I.
CHARACTER TRAITS
I have always seen myself as being friendly, hardworking, committed, and dogged in the face of adversities. I try to live happily, and keep to mind the important things of life, even in the multitude of activities.
[I obeyed the clarion call to serve my fatherland.]
[Camp clinic, Ondo state.]
WHAT AM I PASSIONATE ABOUT?
I am passionate about my faith and believe in Jesus Christ. I love to write, particularly creative nonfiction and poems. I am into graphite and charcoal pencil drawing, while also being a graphics designer. I am also passionate about healthcare, helping people and volunteering for public health outreaches. I once had a childhood dream of making different vaccines for various types of cancer, hence the major reason why I decided to be a Pharmacist. Other hobbies include watching football, Playing FIFA and PES, reading African Literature, watching Athletics, playing guitar, and supporting Real Madrid.
After exploring hive for a while now, I decided to join @gem @ocd @hivenaija. It will be great posting contents into them.
[On some days...]
[Drawing is fun too.]
[Final one for now.]
MY POSITIVE CONTRIBUTION TO HIVE
As I try to discover my niche(s), I will use my strengths, skills and good attributes to bring to you the different colours of my life, in beauty and honesty. This will include stories, pharmaceutical stuffs, art, reviews, poems and possible videos.
FINALLY
My esteemed gratitude to the hive community for this opportunity to express myself freely. I am grateful to @jaydr for introducing hive to me, and tutoring me along this path. I humbly appreciate everyone who will take out time to interact with me. Let's get started, shall we?

By the way, since content on the Hive platform is monetized, using other people’s ideas or images could be considered as an offense and which is also viewed in a serious light on the blockchain. Here is a useful collection of resources about how plagiarism and abuse is viewed and handled on Hive.
If you have questions, you can hop into Discord server and we'll gladly answer your questions.
I got invited here by my girlfriend and I think it is one of the best decisions I made this year. I can share my experiences and life activities, and I will meet great people. I just created my account last week and also posted my introduction right after.
Hello on this mighty fine day and nice to meet you! I found your account because I got a message you are new, and because the beginning can be difficult I swung by with some tips.
You took the step to become a blogger and that’s great. I like to welcome you to the Hive blockchain and platform. A very extensive platform of fun and words.
As of now you are a hiver or newBee as we are calling ourselves. This moment is perfect to give some tips and help you get started.
Also maybe you used the #introduceyourself tag and more hivers come with tips and tricks so the first steps won’t be that difficult. Still take your time because we are so diverse it will take some time to understand and earn.
I was welcomed with good advice too when I started so here I am just returning the favour. I know that Hive may seem very overwhelming right now but don't worry. After a few blogs and write ups you will be a great blogger and contributor, just stay away from texts that aren’t yours.
A great tip is getting discord. Discord will for sure help you and get you talking to other hivers without going to comments on blogs. It’s free and quick and alongside hive very helpful to have. If you don’t have discord already view this blog:
If that’s is not your wish and you have any questions just ask your questions on any of my blog posts and I'll be more than happy to assist you with whatever questions you may have! I may know the answer. If not I will for sure know a hiver who does know the answer
Very important is to never give up any off your passwords , they are yours! Never give them up!!
To blog I use Peakd and Ecency .
Ecency also has an App , I use it and it is great, it gives you insight on what is happening in your account, and on my phone I am never behind on the things I want to see or read.
App is available for free for iOS and android.
For discord Ecency here is your free invite:

Maybe great to also join the terminal , the newbie help channel in Discord :
https://discord.gg/PqDE5kTp
and visit @heyhaveyamet to visit more newcomers that onboarded hive.
That was it for now, Good Luck, Have fun and I wish you loads of writingsuccess on hive and see you around ! :)
GREETZ
Britt
