In the city we live is a city of lakes, yes there are 3-4 major and 3-4 small size lakes in the city and around the city. Water inflow in the lakes totally depend on monsoon season. Season generally starts from 1st week of July and lasts up to mid-September. Thus, these 2-3 months are very important for residents of our city Udaipur!

Every year we are eagerly wait for a good rainy season, as all lakes become full of water and as soon as all lakes become full, city celebrates it. These are the happiest days for all residents of the city.

These lakes are not only beauty of city but also source of water in the city. It boosts the economy through tourist as thousands of tourists visit the city every year and if lakes are full of water, tourist inflow also increases.

As in the photographs, we can see, the lakes are overflowing and visitors increased. Street vendors are earning their bread by selling various items like imitation jewellery, handicrafts item like bags and food items like fresh roasted corn of the season near the lake.

This year lakes have become overflowed in the mid of the season and almost half monsoon season still remaining. I hope the lake will continue to overflow in the coming days and celebration will be continued!
