BTS Caught My Attention : KPop?

Hello music lovers in this community. How are you doing? Hopefully, you are all doing great. Here in Indonesia, specifically in Malang, it is rainy season so every day the sky is dark and cloudy and the air is cold, especially during the day. Usually the weather in the morning is sunny and a little hot but at 12 am the sky is getting cloudy and dark and it won't rain for long. If I go out and accidentally get caught in the rain, my body will respond with a stuffy nose and sneezing. So, I really have to wear a mask to avoid dangerous viruses outside. You also have to maintain your health and if necessary take vitamins so that your immune system becomes stronger and you avoid getting sick.

The most important thing is that our hearts are happy, that is the key. As the saying goes, a happy heart is medicine, but a broken spirit dries up the bones. In my opinion, by listening to music our minds calm down and can divert for a moment all the burdens we are facing. What do you think?

Music. In fact, when it comes to music, nothing is certain. What I mean here is, it's true that I tend to prefer music that is familiar to my ears, specifically music from the 2000s era, western songs and the pop rock genre, it will never change, I guarantee that. As I talked about in my previous content, I experienced something called musical paralysis, where the songs I played would always return to the same ones. That's right. However, it is possible that sometimes I accidentally and inevitably suddenly hear songs that are new or outside of what I usually listen to.

Accidentally, about 2 years ago something caught my attention. At that time, I was looking at YouTube music, some video clips and found a Kpop song. Yes, that's right, you read it correctly, Korean Pop music. Of course you must have heard of it or maybe you also like it or even don't like it at all?

I have heard Kpop very often among young people in Indonesia, they really like Kpop music, and I did not even know why they like it. Honestly, I never used to like Kpop. In my opinion, there were no interesting or good songs from them that I could listen to, I mean just ordinary because my taste in music is far from that. Imagine, I usually listen to rock and western music that is thick with band music and then switches to beat music, Hip hop, R&B, Edm, that kind of thing. I like some of the songs in that genre but from western music, not Korean.

Apart from that, they mix and match with dancing to the rhythm of music and singing which is sometimes interspersed with rap. That's okay, but you know what I mean, it wasn't for me just yet. After that, when I watched YouTube and saw video clip of Kpop music, especially from the group BTS, that's when I started to get interested. They caught my attention because I think their music is a little different from other Kpop groups.

The first clip that I knew and was the first song that I liked from them, and also a very popular song was a song called Boy with Luv. BTS also worked on this song by collaborating with a famous talented American singer named Halsey. I think that's very cool. Even though I'm not from Korea, as an Asian I'm also proud of BTS' achievements. They were able to duet with Halsey and the song managed to attract attention in international music circles. It's really cool and awesome. How could it not be, look on YouTube, the song has already been watched by 1.7 billion views! Just imagine, that's not a small amount, it's a very large great great amount.

When I saw the clip and listened to the song Boy with Luv, I started to get interested and I thought the song was very good. With colorful videos and the members are very flexible in dancing and they look very united. Their voices are also quite good and unified. Halsey's voice is no less cool and there are scenes where she also dances with the BTS members.

Its members consist of Jeon Jungkook as main vocalist, V / Taehyung as vocalist, Kim Seok Jin as vocalist, Suga as main rapper, RM / Rap Monster as the Leader and Rapper, Jimin as main dancer, and Jhope as Rapper. Just for information, they are all currently undergoing mandatory military service which is required for all male Korean citizens, including BTS members. Hmm, they're great aren't they? Even though they are artists and they have made Korea proud in the eyes of the world, however they still carry out their duties as good citizens. Big applause!

There are several of their songs which are also very good and pleasant to listen to, the title is Dynamite and this song has become very popular because the music is easy listening and cheerful, of course it makes our vibes also cheerful and happy, maybe even dancing. Ha ha ha. On YouTube, this Dynamite clip has had 1.7 billion views, wow, that's amazing! Somehow I'm proud, really.

Usually in bands or music groups there is something called bias. Bias means idolizing a member of a music group, and from BTS members I bias is Kim Seok Jin. Apart from the fact that his face is very handsome and is known as Worldwide Handsome, his voice is very beautiful and he has a typical high voice. His song entitled Epiphany has proven that his voice deserves two thumbs up with its high pitched voice. The song is also nice to listen to and when I first heard the song, I immediately fell in love with it and I played it over and over again.

The last song, which is no less famous than Dynamite, is a song called Butter. It is very often performed on international music scenes such as the American Music Awards and they have won many awards from there. Hmmm, I can't say anything and speechless. They are so amazing and talented.

There is one member who recently also caught my attention, none other than Jeon Jung Kook. He, who is the main vocalist with his melodious and beautiful voice, has just launched his first single album entitled "Golden" and in the album the songs are cool and in English. I'll discuss it in my next content, guys. One more thing, I really recommend that you listen to the songs because besides the songs are good, the language is also easier to understand.
