Greetings to all my needlework-loving friends! I am very excited about this NeedleWorkMonday's WIP Challenge! which propose us to finish some project we have on pause or start a project to share the progress in 2 months. I would like to invite you all to participate.

Saludos a todos mis amigos amantes de los trabajos de aguja! Me siento muy emocionada con este NeedleWorkMonday’s WIP Challenge! que nos proponen terminar algún proyecto que tengamos en pausa o iniciar un proyecto para compartir los avances en 2 meses. Me gustaría invitarlos a todos a participar.

My WIP: Tᥱᥒt-tყρᥱ ρᥣᥲყ ᥲᥒd rᥱst hoᥙsᥱ

My project is something I have had in mind for months. It is a small house, tent type, for my daughter to take her afternoon naps and as she gets older she can take it as a playhouse. I took this idea from Pinterest and I really liked the design they present here.

Mi proyecto es algo que tengo en mente desde hace meses. Se trata de una pequeña casa, tipo carpa, para que mi hija tome sus siestas por la tarde y a medida que crezca pueda tomarla como casita de juegos. Tome esta idea de Pinterest y me gustó mucho el diseño que presentan aquí.

It's a bit ambitious for me to think that I can finish this project, since I don't have a sewing machine and everything has to be done manually. But this challenge is the opportunity I need, it's the push I've been waiting for. I like to challenge myself and that's why I'm going to accept this one.

For the elaboration of the tent house, I will need to:

-To make the frame out of wood.
-Buy the materials
-To make the lining of the house with fabric.
-To make the mattress for the resting place
-To elaborate cushions and decorations

Es un poco ambicioso para mi pensar que puedo terminar este proyecto, ya que no tengo máquina de coser y todo tengo que realizarlo manualmente. Pero este reto es la oportunidad que necesito, es el impulso que esta esperando. Me gusta ponerme retos a mi misma y por eso voy a aceptar este.

Para la elaboración de la casa tipo carpa, necesitaré:

-Elaborar el armazón con madera
-Comprar los materiales
-Elaborar el forro de la casa en tela
-Elaborar el colchón para descansos
-Elaborar cojines y decoraciones

I have seen a lot of different designs and ways to put together a tent for kids, I decided to put my personal stamp on it and make something special for my daughter.

I made a quick list of materials and the measurements of the frame to move forward over the course of the week. I need to buy:

-6 wooden slats. 4 of 1 meter, which will be the ones that will give me the height. 2 slats of 1.20 meters that will give the width to the house.

-3 meters of colored or printed fabric in gray. Since I like how this color combines with all the bright colors, this will be the base of the house.

-1 meter of colored or printed fabric in light pink. I love the combination of gray and pink.

-2 meters of ribbon for gray bows

-2 meters of pink ribbon for bows.

-1.5 meters of sponge

-1 meter of pink tulle

He visto una gran cantidad de diseños y formas diferentes de armar una carpa para niños, yo decidí ponerle mi sello personal y hacer algo especial para mi hija.

Hice una lista rapida de materiales y las medidas del armazón para adelantar en el transcurso de la semana. Necesito comprar:

-6 Listones de madera. 4 de 1 metro, que serán los que me den la altura. 2 listones de 1.20 metros q le darán el ancho a la casita.

-3 metros de tela de color o estampados en gris. Ya que me gusta como este colos combina con todos los colores vivos esa será la base de la casita.

-1 metro de tela de color o estampados en rosado claro. La combinación entre el gris y el rosa me encanta.

-2 metros de cinta para lazos color gris

-2 metros de cinta para lazos color rosado

-1.5 metros de esponja

-1 metro de tul color rosado

I chose the star theme, since my daughter, who is about to turn 2 years old, learned the song brilla brilla brilla estrellita and she loves stars so that will be the theme. And I also want to take advantage of a moon print patch that I cut from a pajamas that my baby wore in her first months and since she was my favorite I cut out this print, I would like to glue it to a cushion.

Escogí la temática de estrellas, ya que mi hija, que está por cumplir 2 años, se aprendió la canción brilla brilla estrellita y le encantan las estrellas así que esa será la temática. Y quiero también aprovechar un parche de estampado de la luna que corté de una pijama que usó mi bebé en sus primeros meses y como era mi favorita recorte este estampado, me gustaría pegarlo a un cojín.
