ENGLISH VERSION

Hello lifestyle friends, this time I share with you my experience of my layover at Istanbul airport, in which I spent about 5 - 6 hours, time during which I could walk around much of the airport, change clothes and get some sleep.

I arrived at the airport at midnight on Saturday and my flight to Dubai was leaving on Sunday at 6 am, the first thing I did when I arrived was to find a bathroom to change clothes and get cleaned up, and then I thought about what I was going to do. The airport has 30 minutes of free internet which to access you must put your passport in a machine and they give you a voucher with the WiFi key, you can only do it once so I did it when my flight was about to take off to let my family and friends know.

During my stopover at the airport I spent my time touring the entire first floor, because I did not know which was my boarding gate until 40 minutes before check-in and oh surprise the boarding was on the second floor haha, on the second floor I could see an exhibition of ancient measuring instruments, as well as its implementation in astrology, medicine, physics and other sciences.

When touring the airport you can find a variety of stores in the duty free, which did not surprise me much because it is something common, what did surprise me is that it has parks and playgrounds for children, as well as a Napzone with bed-like furniture where you can sleep until it is time to board, which I did for a few hours because I was very tired, this type of beds were also in a small square where there were trees and you felt like you were sleeping in a park. I thought it was a very good and practical concept.

Now let's talk about what I liked and comforted me the most, there was an exhibition of the Venezuelan artist Jesús Briceño Reyes of black and white portraits that he made when he was in Istanbul, they were very beautiful pieces and it filled me with pride to know that they had on display the work of a fellow countryman in a country more than 10,000km away from our homeland Venezuela. Thank you for reading my publication, I say goodbye for now 😄.
