Greeting, Hiveans!
This is my travel blog for visiting tour Ayodhyapuri.
Indian ancient cultures, civilizations, costumes and lifestyle indicate what it's ancient tradition and cultural heritage must have been like. Every year I visit Ayodhyapuri during winter and summer vacations.

This time, due to extreme heat and unexpected exceed in temperature, I have not been able to go out for sightseeing yet. Still, from whatever sightseeing I have done so far, many such things have come to light which were amazing and unbelievable for us. This time after a 15-day vacation, I decided to see the very ancient Jain temple located in Ayodhya Dham. The Ayodhya Dham pilgrimage site is located 7 kilometers away from the district headquarters while 128 kilometers away from the capital Lucknow.

Since the movement of big vehicles is prohibited inside the city, the distance increases by 3 to 4 kilometers by going through the highway. However, with the help of small vehicles, one can easily reach through the city.

The visiting time is mostly from 6:00 am to 11:00 am and between 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm, after that and in between, most of the temples remain closed. History believes that Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Ayodhya and Jainism have a deep connection since ancient times. Because five out of 24 Tirthankaras were born here.

A total of 9 Jain temples have been established in Ayodhya Puri, out of which the Jain temple of Rishabhdev is the largest temple.

A 31 feet high statue of Lord Rishabhdev is installed in this Jain temple. As it is mentioned in Rigveda, Atharvaveda and Manusmriti that the first Tirthankar Lord Rishabh Dev was born in Ayodhyapuri.

Historians also believe that the statue of female Jain Tirthankara Terikot from before Christ was also found during excavation here. The biggest statue of the first Tirthankara is made of white marble. Along with it there are two more small statues, one of which is made of black marble and the other of brown marble. This Jain temple is about 700 meters from Ayodhya junction, which is located in a huge courtyard on the right side of the road to Badi Cantonment via Raiganj. Mani Parvat is located at a distance of 500 meters from here, which is the highest point of Ayodhya Dham from where one can stand and see the entire city.

However, now it is dilapidated and going to the upper part is completely prohibited.

Historians believe that the place where God is born is called eternal land.

Great men like Shri Ram and Rishabhdev were born here, so this city is called holy city.

Digambar Jain temple has been developed as a museum in which the idols of Jain Tirthankaras, literature and evidences related to it have been preserved. For which various writings have been engraved on the walls. The courtyard of Digambar Jain temple is spread over a long distance and you have to walk about 50 feet to reach the temple. This place is located in the eastern part of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi and its distance from there is about one kilometer.

The monks who follow Digambar sect remain naked. On the other hand, people who follow Shvetambara sect used to wear clothes.

Perhaps the naked Naga Sadhus found at Allahabad Sangam also follow this Digambar sect.

Not only this, a huge statue of Mahatma Buddha has been installed at Rajghat on the western end of Ayodhya Dham. This statue is about 15 feet high and is situated on the banks of the Saryu River.
Ayodhya Dham is also considered a special tourist destination because ancient civilizations are associated with this place. It is believed that Ayodhya Dham was the capital of the kings of the Ikshvaku dynasty. Ayodhya Puri is also mentioned in the Raghuvansh epic of great poet Kalidas, which was earlier popular by the name of Saket. After Kosaladhis King Dasharath, his eldest son Shri Ram ascended the throne of Ayodhya. Since I am a resident of this place, I know that there are many places located here which are mentioned in holy scriptures like Ramayana.

Bharatkund, 14 km from Ayodhya, is a living example of this where King Bharat used to rule by keeping Shri Ram's Khadaun. Places like Kanak Bhawan, King Dasharath's palace, Nageshwar Nath temple, Sita kitchen, Laxman fort, Sugriva fort etc. mentioned in Ramayana are still present here.

The last four statues are of the greatest poet of Hindi literature, Saint Shiromani Tulsidas ji. About one and a half kilometers before the Saryu bank, there is a place called Tulsi Udyan Smarak. Most of the temples have been established around this garden. The statue of the great poet Tulsidas is located in this Tulsi Smarak Bhawan. You will find this memorial building on the side of the main road connecting Shri Ram Janmabhoomi and Saryu bank. Let's say that it is located on the main road itself. However, there is no parking facility here as it is a very crowded area. This is also a statue made of white marble which is a center of attraction for tourists.

Currently, the city of Ayodhya is being developed as a tourist destination. For which the city is being renovated on a large scale and strong arrangements are being made to protect the ancient heritage. However, no tampering is being done with the ancient buildings, stupas, temples etc.

Just in January, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi was unveiled by the Honorable Prime Minister. At this time, there is a huge crowd of outside devotees and tourists here. Every day thousands of people come to Shri Ram Janmabhoomi for darshan and get acquainted with various mythological places.

The best feature here is that you do not need to stay in any hotel or other place for food, instead different types of dishes are provided to you free of cost every day in different temples. And the most interesting thing is that food distribution goes on from morning till evening.
Hope you will enjoy this place and will be eager to visit it...
Have a nice day... Love&Peace.
