Art Journal: "Serenade of Still Waters" | Original Coffee Painting βποΈ
Greetings Hiver friends, How are you doing? A blissful day to everyone. Let me share with you the new coffee art I painted today. I call this painting the "Serenade of Still Waters"
This painting illustrates the tranquil nature of a body of water, like a lake or a pond. It points out to seize the peaceful atmosphere and the balanced relationship between the water and its surroundings.
The composition may focus on the calmness of the water, highlighting its reflective qualities and creating a sense of stillness and harmony.
I used three types of painting brushes for this art. It took me an hour to finish this piece. For those who want to try to paint using this unique medium, you can follow the basic methods below.
Materials Needed:
π Watercolor Paper or sketching Paper
π Pencil and Eraser
π Coffee Powder
π 2 small cups ( lighter and darker shades)
π Ruler
π Clean Water
π Rag
π Paper napkin or paper towel
Brushes:
π Flat Brush /small #10, 10/32 / 8.0mm
π Liner Brush #2 / 2/32" / 1.6mm
π Filbert brush
Note: Keep all the materials ready before you start painting.
Basic Procedure:
β’ Outline or sketch your painting reference.
β’ Paint using a lighter shade of the background by creating a beautiful texture.
β’ On the middle ground, paint the first layer of the subject.
β’ The same procedure with the foreground.
β’ Once the first layer is completely dry, you can proceed to paint with a darker shade of coffee.
β’ Then add details to come alive of your painting. I used a liner brush for thin details.
Take note: In putting details, you cannot have sharp lines and shapes unless it is completely dry.
Painting Process:
This is the finished artwork of the "Serenade of Still Waters" with a coffee painting.
