Art Journal: "A Landscape with a Misty Atmosphere" | Original Coffee Painting ☕🖌️

Greetings Hiver friends, How are you doing? A blissful Sunday to everyone. For me going to church every Sunday is very important, by feeding my spirit with the word of God. anyway, let me share with you the original artwork I created today. I painted a fascinating landscape scene made of coffee.

A landscape with a misty atmosphere is also known as a hazy or foggy landscape. This occurrence usually takes place in the morning or late evening, but it can also occur under certain weather conditions. In such a landscape, the visibility is decreased, and the overall spot takes on a muted and soft, somewhat there is mysterious stance on the landscape. so, the effect can create a tranquil and dreamy atmosphere.
Most artists often find misty landscapes appealing because they provide a distinctive interplay of shadow and light.

I used three types of painting brushes for this art. It took me an hour to finish this piece. For those who want to try to paint using this unique medium, you can follow the basic methods below.

Materials Needed:
👉 Watercolor Paper or sketching Paper
👉 Pencil and Eraser
👉 Coffee Powder
👉 2 small cups ( lighter and darker shades)
👉 Ruler
👉 Clean Water
👉 Rag
👉 Paper napkin or paper towel

Brushes:
👉 Flat Brush /small #10, 10/32 / 8.0mm
👉 Liner Brush #2 / 2/32" / 1.6mm
👉 Filbert brush

Note: Keep all the materials ready before you start painting.

Basic Procedure:
• Outline or sketch your painting reference.
• Paint using a lighter shade of the background by creating a beautiful texture.
• On the middle ground, paint the first layer of the subject.
• The same procedure with the foreground.
• Once the first layer is completely dry, you can proceed to paint with a darker shade of coffee.
• Then add details to come alive of your painting. I used a liner brush for thin details.

Take note: In putting details, you cannot have sharp lines and shapes unless it is completely dry.
