Celebration 1st and 2nd November | Celebración Días 1 y 2 de Noviembre LOH #211
In English
Greetings friends of the #LadiesofHive community, with this week's edition, where we are invited to reflect on one of the questions from our esteemed @kerrislravenhill, here is my participation:
How did you and your family celebrate this year's harvest season - Halloween, Day of the Dead, All Saints' Day, Samhain or some other celebration?
Over the years, with different activities, customs and in distant places, some of these traditions that started two thousand years ago, have been gaining momentum both in activities as well as in commerce.
I have read that the celebrations start weeks in advance, in most western countries it is known as Halloween or ‘witches’ night’, it takes place on the night of the 31st of October. Children dress up in costumes and go door to door asking for sweets, in Ireland where the holiday is supposed to have originated, they entertain themselves with different games around bonfires, children wear different costumes, which in ancient times were ghosts and witches, many have been replaced in recent times, by "horror characters and heroes" from modern fantasy films.
In my family we do not celebrate Halloween as such, personally, among the customs of my family, it was never to celebrate this date, nowadays in these places we notice that the shops are filled with ‘the best costumes’ and of course with sweets, which in many shops are distributed to customers, especially candy to children.
Nowadays, the 1st and 2nd of November are two different days, the first day is dedicated to the children, the relatives hope that their souls will return to be close to them, hence it is called "the day of the innocent saints", while the second day is dedicated to the souls of the adults.
As for the Day of the Dead, I think it is very moving the deep meaning that for many of us in my country, we pay tribute to the loved ones who have gone before us on this path of life.
Beautiful memory and teachings of my mother, who left last year to meet our creator.
As a way of paying tribute to her departure, together with my sisters, we went to the cemetery to bring her flowers and we joined in prayer to ask for her eternal rest and to give thanks for her life, for the time we enjoyed her by our side.
Personally, every day is a good day to remember her.
The gratitude I have as a daughter to my mother will be eternal for everything she did for me, I thank God for my mother that I was blessed to have her with me, thanks to her I am the person I am, she taught me to love my daughter with the strength that I do, because the love that she gives me is like that, without measure, no matter how tired I was, she was always there to give me her support, her love, her embrace, She was my driving force in so many things, she could see my sadness just by looking at me and she would fill me up with just a hug, thank you God for giving me such a beautiful gift.
The eternal inheritance that has given me the opportunity to feel, to feel that immense love towards my family, that cannot be explained with words, we only know that it exists, that it is there and that it feeds us in the most difficult moments of life, I thank my mother mainly for bringing me to this world, and I also know that thanks to her, I am what I am and who I am.
The traditions and customs of some countries and each one, are fascinating stories that are carried out in honour of those who have gone before us on the journey of no return.

The Autumn season does remind us how precious life is regardless of traditions and faith.
There is hardly a day that goes by that I don't think of my dearly departed best friend Deb, and my mother. November will always brings me out to see my Mother resting beside my father to thank them, and thank God that they were a blessing to me more than I can realize as I was growing up. We become more wiser when we learn that they love us more than we think.
Thanks for sharing @cautiva-30

Yes, I thank God for that, thank you for your touching comment, have a nice day,
