BACK FROM A BREAK
I've been a bit M.I.A. the last few weeks because I went on a much needed vacation with my family two weeks ago, but the last week has been extra crazy at work playing catch-up so I've had very little time for me.
I hope these full moon photos from the first night of my vacation will help you forgive me.
At first, I was pretty stoked about the last bit of sunlight hitting the buildings, but then I saw it...can you see it?
The full moon set against the colors from the Belt of Venus. Really wish I would have brought a longer lens, if only for these shots.
I was really pushing the 16-35mm lens I had on my camera. This was shot in crop mode plus I cropped in nearly to 100%. I had some great alignment opportunities with the buildings as the ship left the harbor
Once we got out to sea this cruise ship lined up nicely with the moon and the light reflection off the water.
If you couldn't tell we went on a cruise from Miami to the Bahamas. I know it seems like cruise ships are not the place you want to be right now, but I gotta say it was wonderful. The ship was around 30% capacity so it was really nice to have less people. I couldn't imagine being on a cruise at full capacity.

I didn't say anything about peaceful and relaxing, haha. I'm still a kid at heart so we did all the adventure things. Water slides, rock climbing wall, Flow rider, mini golfing over and over, and swimming with dolphins.
I don't think I even took a nap the whole trip! 😂
We did Royal Caribbean and went to Nassau and Cococay. I highly recommend Cococay.

Welcome back Casey! Beautiful shots :) I don’t think cruise ships are up and running in Aus yet.
I wasn't sure that they even allowed you to go outside yet in Australia. Haha
I haven’t been outside of my state since covid started, but I think it is nearly easier to leave the country then go between states 😂 as long as you get a negative test, or have been positive a few weeks before hand, you’re all good to visit most places.
