This little piece of my life is called! "Happiness"

Something like that said Will Smith in one of his great movies and now I can replicate it perfectly in my life because I feel it in my heart; I see these pictures and I can only feel enormously grateful to God and life because all the effort one makes to be able to travel and get to where all these beautiful people are well worth it!

Algo así dijo Will Smith en una de sus grandes películas y ahora la puedo replicar perfectamente en mi vida porque así lo siento en mi corazón; veo estas fotografías y solo me puedo sentir enormemente agradecida con Dios y con la vida porque todo el esfuerzo que uno hace para poder viajar y llegar a donde están todas estas lindas personas ¡bien vale la pena!

This year my husband's health situation delayed us in time and money, so as soon as we could, we resumed all the plans and thanks to God the times were right and we were able to undertake the Christmas trip to my beloved Andean land.

Este año la situación de salud de mi esposo nos atrasó en tiempo y en dinero, así que apenas pudimos retomamos todos los planes y gracias a Dios los tiempos se dieron y pudimos emprender el viaje decembrino hacia mi queridísima tierra andina.

Organizing a family trip of many days is not easy, at home I am the one who has more free time so I have to run many errands with the car mechanic, Christmas shopping, cleaning and decorating the house, meetings with friends and all that is time consuming and consumes you; there were times when I also wanted to rest but I could not, I do not know about you but I have always thought that one works more in that month of vacation than at other times of the year.

Organizar un viaje familiar de muchos días no es nada fácil, en casa soy la que tiene más tiempo libre así que me toca realizar muchas diligencias con el mecánico del carro, las compras decembrinas, limpieza y decoración de la casa, reuniones con los amigos y todo eso es tiempo que se consume y te consume; había momentos en que también quería descansar pero no podía, no sé ustedes pero siempre he pensado que uno trabaja más en ese mes de vacaciones que en otra época del año.

I love to enjoy the trip so I tell my husband to enjoy the road, although he is the one who drives we like to stop to take pictures, admire the scenery, breathe the fresh air of those landscapes that I show you today and much more.

Me encanta disfrutar del viaje así que le digo a mi esposo que disfrutemos del camino, aunque él es quien maneja nos gusta detenernos tomar fotos, admirar los paisajes, respirar el aire puro de esos paisajes que hoy les muestro y mucho más.

I have always thought that happiness is found in the simplicity of things, and we all know or should know that happiness is not eternal, that it is only about small moments where we feel good, laugh and relax.

Siempre he pensado que en la simplicidad de las cosas es donde más se encuentra la felicidad y es que todos ya sabemos o deberíamos tener claro que la felicidad no es eterna, que solo se trata de pequeños momentos donde nos sentimos bien, reímos y nos relajamos.

That is why many of us always want to repeat those moments, many of us look for those childhood friends, we look for our grandmother's house, we travel again and again to that place where we once felt good. It has happened to me, have you ever felt like this?

Es por eso que muchos siempre queremos repetir esos momentos, muchos buscamos a esos amigos de la infancia, buscamos la casa de la abuela, viajamos una y otra vez a ese lugar donde alguna vez conseguimos sentirnos bien. A mí me ha pasado ¿Y tú? ¿Te has sentido así en algún momento?

The Andean land has something magical, many call San Cristobal the Land of cordiality, because everyone treats you well, as if you have known them all your life. Its climate is another important factor since it is cold and this is what brings us to another important point of this town and that is the food. When we are cold we can go for a delicious chocolate with sugared bread or cake; but if it is late in the afternoon and the weather is cold you can have something stronger like a "calentado" (a drink made of fruit and white miche).

La tierra andina tiene algo magino, muchos llaman a san Cristóbal la Tierra de la cordialidad, porque todo el mundo te trata bien, como si los conocieras de toda la vida. Su clima es otro factor importante ya que hace frio y esto es lo que nos lleva a otro punto importante de esta localidad y es la comida. Cuando tenemos frio podemos ir a tomarnos un rico chocolate con pan azucarado o torta; pero si es ya de tardecita y este ente amigo puede que te tomes algo más fuerte como un calentado (bebida hecha a base de frutas y miche blanco)

We started our trip on December 18, a little late compared to previous years, we left at 5 am and arrived in Táchira at about 7 pm. The trip was really quiet, you could say that we were alone on the road. On the way after arriving in the state of Barinas we were able to buy meat, cheese, since it is a purely livestock area, so we got it at a good price.

Nosotros emprendimos el viaje el 18 de diciembre, algo tarde comparado con los años anteriores, salimos a las 5 de la mañana y llegamos a Táchira a eso de las 7 de la noche. El viaje estuvo realmente tranquilo, podría decirse que estábamos solos en la vía. En el trayecto luego de llegar al estado Barinas pudimos comprar carne, queso, ya que es una zona netamente ganadera, así que la conseguimos a buen precio.

Further on we also bought a fish called cachama, which is sold at a good price thanks to the fish farms that are close by. This fish is very tasty, despite being river fish it has a great flavor.

One of the great deals I found on the road was the bananas, we bought two huge bunches for a small price, two kilos for a dollar, how about that!

Más adelante también compramos un pescado llamado cachama y es que gracias a los criaderos que se encuentran por ahí cerca la venden también a buen precio. Este pescado es muy rico, a pesar de ser pescado de rio tiene un gran sabor.

Una de las ofertas muy buenas que encontré en la vía fue la de los plátanos, compramos dos racimos enormes por un módico precio, dos kilos por un dólar ¡qué tal!

I love it, I am excited to travel and to be able to buy, of course all this is already taken into account in the expenses although sometimes we spend a little too much.

Arriving and receiving the hugs, the words of affection does not compare to anything, the whole trip was made just for this and year after year I would do it again just to see the faces of my loved ones.

Me encanta, me emociona viajar y poder comprar, por supuesto ya todo esto está tomado en cuenta dentro de los gastos aunque a veces nos pasamos un poco de más.

Llegar y recibir los abrazos, las palabras de cariño no se compara con nada, todo el viaje lo realizamos solo para esto y año tras año lo volvería hacer solo para volver a ver las caras de mis seres más queridos.

This was the beginning of this journey that soon I will continue to tell you, truly we can all look for happiness, work for it, feel it. Happiness is not in the future, happiness must be lived now, in every moment, it is not hidden in wonderful lamps, nor in missing links, happiness is by your side, you just have to open your eyes and feel it.

Este fue el inicio de este viaje que pronto les seguiré contando, en verdad que todos podemos Buscar la felicidad, trabajar por ella, sentirla. La felicidad no está en el futuro, la felicidad hay que vivirla ahora, en cada momento, no está escondida en lámparas maravillosas, ni en eslabones perdidos, la felicidad está a tu lado, solo tienes que abrir tus ojos y sentirla.
