It's just two hours left, but I still have to do this prompt and I will answer the first question that says,
Vehicle accident
Tell us about your vehicle accident, the incident, how it occurred, where, and what was the outcome? How were the repair and replacement process and your recovery from injuries? This can be car, truck, or motorcycle-related. Bonus points for using your own photos.
Saturdays at my home are always known as a day for cleaning which was why I dreaded Saturdays because I get to do almost all the work in the house and my siblings get to do nothing.
On this particular day, I was quite early in finishing my chores and went into the bathroom to take my bath but found out that the bathing soap had finished. So, I went to get money from my mother to get the bathing soap. I got the soap and was about to return home when I got hit by a car, it wasn't a private car but public transportation.
It was my first time experiencing such, so I didn't understand how it all happened but immediately I was hit and fell to the ground due to the impact of the hit, I got up in a flash telling them I was okay and needed to get home but was unfortunately hit by heavy nauseousness that sent me tumbling back to the ground with blood oozing out of my mouth.
I was immediately backed by passersby and rushed to the nearest hospital we have, although a bit far but it was accessible. I got to the hospital with my mom trailing behind, I guess someone who knew who I was and who my mother was told her about me involving in an accident on my way back home.
I had a cracked tooth which was a result of getting hit by the jaw and some scratches which were cleaned and disinfected but not bandaged because my body resist such things and the doctor who came to attend to me said I would have to stay in the hospital for at least a day or two so they can confirm I was okay and give the necessary treatment for immediate recovery but I refused, telling them I was okay but the truth was, I was feeling a whole lot of pains in my body and had some wounds that needed attention but I dreaded hospitals and can not imagine passing the night there.
Luckily my dad came home and heard the news so he rushed to the hospital and was able to convince the doctors to let me go since he knew about my fear, that I would be coming from home every day for any treatment and that was how I was discharged from the hospital and asked to go home even when I was in serious pain.
Throughout the night I couldn't sleep comfortably because I had a very high fever and migraine but I had my parents by my side checking up on me from time to time and the next day, my parents couldn't even wait till it was early when they rushed me back to the hospital and that was how I ended staying in the hospital but I had my friend and dad who always came to stay by my side most especially in the night.
A few weeks later, I was discharged but up until today, I still have my cracked tooth because it wasn't removed although I don't feel any pain but I can not eat with that angle of my teeth because of the crack there.
End the pain. Go see a dentist. Dont tell me you have a fear on dental clinics too.😉
😆😆 To remove my teeth? That's a hard decision to make on my part although I have plans to check it but removing it, is never part of the plan. Since I don't feel pain, I only feel discomfort when I try to use that particular side to eat.
Well, you can always use the other side, right?
Yeah, I can and do but most days I wish I could use the two.
Hey, I feel you. I have a bad tooth on one side of my mouth too. I havent use it in a while.
Accidents are really event we never wished for.
Getting hit by a car is traumatizing I got a friend hit by a car as well. It really not easy
You are perfectly right, that is the word to better explain the experience, I pray for anyone to experience it because you never forget the impact in a hurry.
Oh my... That must have been awful
Wow... That moment you stood up and said you were okay, I'm sure it happened to be the adrenaline of being hit...
Glad you didn't break a bone still, that must have been quite the experience
You can say that again.
I guess so because even up till today, I still can't tell why I stood up so suddenly after the incident.
Glad too but I broke a tooth that has caused so much change in the way I eat 😁
I'm guessing you eat like a tortoise? 😂... Don't mind me.
You are lucky, that could have been so much more worse and I am sorry to hear about your tooth:(
Thank you
