What should be considered our true wealth?
Wealth is what we decide has value, some things have wealth because of their function, others have wealth because we give it to them without perhaps having it, but to all this then.
What should we consider as wealth?
Most people consider wealth as the money that is possessed, but is money the true wealth? I believe that money is not the true wealth, perhaps we have in our lives many things of value that are true wealth but we do not know it, then how can we separate the true wealth from what we believe is.
In order to make a correct distinction of wealth it is important to be able to measure it, if we have many things, which will be the one of real value?
It is easy to answer, if we have something that we are not willing to exchange for money, then that is what has a real value and that we can consider wealth, money is not wealth, since money is something that we are willing to leave to acquire something else. An example of true wealth can be dignity, when we are worthy, we can be offered all the money in the world to sell our principles or ideals, however if we are not willing to sell them is because our dignity is of great value and is our true wealth.
My family is non-negotiable, I no longer have my parents, however my siblings, my wife and my children are something I would not be willing to negotiate, so it is in my family where I have the true wealth, perhaps money is something necessary that allows us to exchange goods and services but it is not the absolute wealth.
The moral of the case is that although we live in a materialistic society we can reflect and evaluate ourselves personally to know how to diagnose where the true wealth of our life is, although happiness is not absolute, we can be happy in an instant of time when we can enjoy those things that we are not willing to change for all the money in the world.
I have had to live many experiences to be able to reach this point, where I would give all the money in the world to live again my childhood experiences, it is where I say perhaps in many aspects of my past where a great part of my wealth was.
