My work as a psychologist in a public institution for people with visual condition 🧠🦯💭 [ESP-ENG]
Hello to all my dear Hive❤️ readers, I hope you are very well today.
On this occasion I want to share another little of my experience in CAIDV Aragua🇻🇪 an educational institute for people with visual👁️🗨️condition which is in turn a government📜 institution and free 🆓 for people, which exists in many states of the country🗺️.
In this post I want to share a little of my experience and learnings📚 as the next mental🎓 health professional, I hope you enjoy it and you can take something from here, a hug.
In my professional practices I had the opportunity to share Alejandro who in addition to possessing the condition 👁️🗨️ is me with a classmate and as I am waiting for the title just to be licensed in psychology🎓;
I was also fortunate to be guided by an excellent professional named Francis Bolívar🤝, a truly exceptional psychologist in the area of visual conditions since she has been working in the institution for much more than a year📆.
I did these practices in the Center for Integral Care of Visual Deficiencies of the state of Aragua where despite not having the adequate / optimal spaces🏠;
and having a low number of special teachers🧑🏫 in the area to serve the amount of population they really manage during the time I exercised my activities were quite functional✅.
And I learned so much about blindness and psychology;
Since the loss of a sense is a **mourning that is latent in the day to day ** 🌄 of the person but does not mean that it is an impediment to live their days with efficiency and tranquility.
It is something quite complex and everything depends on the mechanisms and psychological🧠 tools that each individual possesses but;
Thanks to that experience I realized that it is more a process of learning, adaptation and acceptance than a disability as it is commonly known👀.
since talking about disability limits in many ways the person with the condition;
because first of all he is a PERSON👥 who has many characteristics and qualities that define him, it is not his condition👁️🗨️.
The truth is that a post is too short to explain my experience in this place where there are people who do what they love📚❣️.
But I like to be able to share even if it's something small but meaningful with you about it💭. I sincerely wish you well and send you a hug🫂. Here I say goodbye @Carlitazulay.
These photos📸 were taken and edited with my Redmi Note 12 phone
