ecoTrain QOTW 9.9: "Do we need a GURU OR MASTER TO GROW SPIRITUALLY?"

avatar

Warm greetings to the community @ecoTrain, thank you for bringing us a new initiative focused on the question of the week referred to: Do we need a GURU OR TEACHER TO GROW SPIRITUALLY?
While it is true, the term "Guru" comes from India and was given to people who were dedicated to show the ways of yoga and teach important techniques for meditation. A "Guru" was a person who was asked for advice.
Based on the above, I can personally consider that to have spiritual growth requires the guidance or guidance of someone with much experience and wisdom that can guide me to succeed in my spiritual life.

Every human being in its composition has a very particular element which is the spiritual. We cannot see the spiritual, but it requires the connection with its creator who is God. The spiritual essence of which we are composed, requires to remain in contact with the supernatural, in order to reach the true peace that comes from God. We need valuable and spiritually prepared people who allow us to guide and lead us in order to have a better approach with God. The spiritual master knows the best strategies to guide and orient people to know more about God. A spiritual master teaches us how to pray for God to hear our needs and how to understand the rules and norms that God has established to guide our lives on earth. If we have problems and difficulties, we turn to spiritual teachers to provide us with the best advice from God to solve the problems. In Christian churches, pastors are counselors or spiritual teachers who help believers to have more communion with God in order to reach a better and greater spiritual prosperity. Once when I had a family problem, I went to the pastor of the church where I congregate and I told him my situation and he gave me God's advice to overcome the problem. In this sense, I can conclude that in order to grow spiritually, we need a spiritual master to guide us and help us communicate with God.

I love how you used your experience to back up your stance that we truly need a spiritual teacher to guide and give us advise based on the path that God wants us to follow. Thank you for sharing.
