🐞 A unexpected farewell let me a lesson about family. [Eng- Esp]
Hello Throwback Thursday friends. Welcome to my blog. Today's intention is to share one of the memories that takes me to a very special day. At Higuerote, in a vacation home owned by a maternal cousin in that small town in the state of Miranda, we met with a small part of my family, August 2017.
Hola amigos de Throwback Thursday. Bienvenidos a mi blog.
My mother met with two of her brothers, the owner of the house, a nephew from a deceased brother's side, his wife and daughters, a niece from her twin sister sister with her husband and children, my brother with his wife, his children and me with mine.
We made that trip without planning it much in advance, we had a great time, my cousin at his house has a small pool with a simple slide, swings, a roulette wheel, karaoke, dominoes and a stream runs very close by.
We enjoyed of a sancocho, we told jokes, we remembered anecdotes, we took a dip and in the end we were surprised to know that in addition, we had to say goodbye to a cousin and an aunt who were leaving the country, and with whom of course, to date I have been without for a long time to share.
The lesson of that trip was realizing that every moment counts, that the family must be given deserved importance when they are united, that we must make and renew more happy moments, without stopping ourselves because of a tantrum, a lack or a misunderstanding. Do everything possible and more. I also thanked life for having them, for having enjoyed them for much of my childhood and I asked God for their happiness anywhere in the world.
Sometimes we take occasions, like this, lightly. We don't make the most of it, we don't venture enough. Then when moments like that come, where we had to say goodbye, nostalgia overwhelms us, we would like to turn back time. The weather is inclement and unforgiving. Let's create happy moments more often, because problems come without looking for them.
