Since I moved to Rijeka, I realized that there is so much to see & so much to shoot, places & details of the city that I haven't been noticing before or that I haven't just been attracted to. Few weeks ago I had a photoshoot with a young flute player & while I was shooting her I also shot this one which was the background for the model. This giants seem almost like ancient beings or just the leftovers of those beings, just the rusty, dry, metal skeleton eaten by the sea salt, wind, Sun & water.
I was in doubt if this shot good enough motif for the cityscape theme but than I saw the last round winning photo & I decided to apply with this one. I was thinking that this peer with cranes are definitely part of the city so, it can be a cityscape...

The upper shot I made with Nikon Z6 & Sigma 105 mm DG Macro HSM lens & for the self-portrait below I used Nikon D800 with Nikon AF Nikkor 35-70 mm lens.

Hi, I imagine years from now in the future, children will ask their parents what these giant structures are and their parents will respond like you 😆
It seems like the future is already here cause I never saw these cranes moving or lifting anything. But l believe these serve for lifting big boats from the sea to the pier to be renovated when needed.
