CantFoldAces Introduction to the SplinterTalk community
Hello everyone! I hope with this post I can start my journey with Splinterlands (hopefully I didn't come too late to the party) and get to learn a bit more about the game, the community and how the Hive ecosystem works.
A little background about myself, a crypto enthousiast, not too successful with trading nor DEFI, hoping to be a good HODLer and learning more about the cryptos. In addition to be a League of Legends player (anyone here playing League?) so I'm a bit familiar with the gaming stuff.
How I discovered Splintertalk
Losing 100 bucks in trading alongside with the market pullback is never a good feeling...So while lurking in the tons of youtube videos, I came across a video on how he did make 100$ from splinterlands... Wait what? Thinking it's like 90% of the common clickbait videos but why I don't give it a chance
And yeah it was yesterday the start of my story with Splinter and started looking for more videos to learn more about this game and finally came across this forum ans started ready many blogs and the one who got my attention is @cflclosers (I'll be really happy if you notice me and I want to thank you for how much I learned from your journey! Good luck!)
The beginning of my Journey
Soo I made an account and started discovering the game interface, looking good and smooth, I like the tutorial as it was really informative and the game seems challenging and really fun. But in order to start you need that spellbook for 10$. I did hesitate at first but decided to go for it
It's been a some time since I was exciting about learning something new!
Current situation
So here I am Bronze III with 11 wins and 9 losses. Daily quest completed and waiting for the end of season rewards!
I'm really liking the fire and dark comp as they seem good (in bronze III at least)
As far as I understood, I need to have enough rating and enough Power in order to level Up so hopefully I'll get a good chunk of DEC and some good cards in the upcoming chests.

There's no pressure on this. You can choose on whatever information you would like to share.
