And dragonflies are animals that are never far from water, because dragonflies lay eggs and spend their childhood before becoming adults.

Dragonflies usually lay their eggs on plants in the water, there are also types of dragonflies that like stagnant water, but there are also dragonflies who like to put their eggs in slightly swift water.

Did you know that the dragonfly is an insect that has an imperfect metamorphosis, because it does not undergo a process from pupa to adult.

Dragonfly metamorphosis begins with eggs that are hatched in water, after which they become larvae, the length of time the larvae live in water is influenced by water temperature.

If the water temperature is warm, the dragonfly larvae mature faster, while if the water is cold, the larvae will take longer to mature.When large, the larva becomes a nymph, which looks like an adult dragonfly but has a small body size.
