Fungi Friday: The white cheese is back for an encore.

The world on your shoulders by the looks of things. Not to worry I'll help you out when you need it.

Hello there, nice to see you again.

Oh hi, this must be that time of the week again.

What time would that be?

FUNGI FRIDAY TIME OF COURSE

What do we have on display this week? The lovely white cheese polypore.

This fungi was hiding away from the world this week. I feel the same way at times especially with what I'm reading and seeing lately.

02.jpg

I think that's a pine needle taking a rest on you?

Pulling up the leaves, twigs and greenery of the forest over yourself like a warm blanket. I get it. Well I'm here to bring a little cheer when possible.

If I can't bring it sometimes you bring it for me. This is how things work or at least I'd like things to operate.

03.jpg

Don't brush me off too much it's nice and toasty under here!

I dusted a bit of debris off but was quickly informed not to make too much of a fuss. Sometimes we like it when we're left on our own. When we're ready we will reach out and let you know.

Leaving my card with the fungi folk seems to work well for me. I'll receive random texts and phone calls once in awhile telling me how they're doing and what's happening in their interesting lives.

I try to visit as often as I can to catch up in person.

Oh you grew an entire millimeter this week? What are you doing out there? Lifting weights or jogging? You look great.

04.jpg

Those gills look nice, I see you put in the extra effort.

I needed to start rolling around on the ground again to get these interesting gill shots. You should see the reaction on the faces of the fungi that meet me for the first time. They let out a little squeak when they see me trying to get in position for the first time.

Don't crush me, I hear this often. I think I may need to explain my actions before I just do them but then again that's half the fun for me.

I was sure to keep some excess foliage in the frame for no reason at all.

Artistic expression telling the story of forest folk in visual form.

The green plant life represents the vibrant, ever growing flora in a world where consumerism and screen time is becoming ever more present that many are seeking refuge back to a simpler life in the forest.

The brown leaf represents our loss of innocence and attention span that goes along with it.

Fungi are the true salvation and will outlive almost anything on Earth. We've been here a billion years already. Long before buffaloes and humans.

Huh?

Side tangent sorry about that. My speech to text app caught some of this fungi's viewpoints.

I asked what they've been reading lately lately and they said not much. Simply some light reading like Marx, Rousseau, Plato and Hobbes.

Light reading I said as I rolled my eyes. This is interesting we'll have to dig a little deeper on my next visit.

I can only imagine what someone would say if they saw us both in the woods. A white cheese polypore and a buffalo carrying on like this. Stranger things have happened.

Where were we? Oh yes I remember now

05.jpg

The horizontal shot.. mostly

I saw this leaf looking tired or sleeping, completely drooping over this white cheese mushroom. I don't blame you this looks like a nice spot to slumber.

07.jpg

Oooh nice if I say so myself, and I just did.

I think this is, yes this is my favorite of out the set. These fun skewed angles always capture my attention. A little splash of green, white and brown. The colors of the forest on display here.

This even reminds me of a Manta Ray minus the water or an airplane. All aboard the fungi jet. I'll need to make a mental note of that idea or better yet write it down as I'll forget about it after writing this sentence.

06.jpg

Go get your eyes tested, everything is fine here.

Last but not least I need to include at least one semi-blurred photo to show Proof of Buffalo. Yes, a buffalo took this photo.

A little bit of a rambling mess this time around but I had fun writing it.

Oh yeah, that is definitely a Manta Ray, that doesn't need water. A newly discovered species 😎

Watch your step as usual, at least this one can't sting you like stingray. They have sting in their name what do you think it's going to do? 😀

hmm, my husband had once an encounter with one stingray. He thought it is a rock on the bottom so almost stepped on it 😱
Nothing happened though, just the memory that will never go away haha

There's always a fungus lurking behind the grass, that's the richness of the universe.

They're lurking everywhere I know. Finding them is 100% of the challenge for me.

Oh I like this one. Hiding under nice and soft blanket so that the world doesn't see you. I can do that :P

P.S. They never text me! 😒

I don't understand this. Next time I will spread the word to keep in contact. You've done so much to promote the fungi cause and in case they forgot I will let them know.

This kitty knows all about blankets, hugs and a little !LUV 😀

Oh my dear buffalobiNson !LUV
Realy love the wisdom of the fungi world. They can teach us so many things. No. Probably they can teach us all we would need to know for Living a good life.
Thank you for rolling over the forest ground to get in touch with them. Looking at the photos I can smell the fungiful forest Air.
Hope youre doing fine :-)
