Emanuel's Promotion Day (En/ Es)

If there is something that fills us with pride and happiness are the achievements of our children and this time it was the turn of my youngest son, Emanuel, as he finished his school year going from elementary to high school. It is the beginning of a new and totally different school stage, which goes hand in hand with the beginning of his adolescence, as we say in our country, “passing from white to blue shirt” which is part of the school uniform and like everything nowadays, it was full of many new customs, such as “the last bell” which is nothing more than the last day of school, the “striping of shirts” (that custom is from my time ha, ha, ha) and his promotion act; today I come to share with you what that day was like.

It started very early, it was in the school, in its central courtyard, where everything was prepared for this event: the imposition of medals, diplomas and others; where family members, teachers and management staff accompanied them throughout the morning. When I saw him receive his recognition I felt swollen with emotion, because my baby has grown up, at that moment I wondered at what moment it happened, then at the end of the ceremony at the school, we decided to go out to celebrate in one of our favorite restaurants “La Sabana, Gourmet”, which is a beautiful colonial house where they have different spaces according to the taste of the diner. They have a beautiful outdoor terrace which is our favorite space of the place.

Besides that they offer a very varied menu and very appreciated among the kids, such as hamburgers, cachapas with different contours, cheese, ham, pork, pizzas and many other delicious things. We ordered a tray with a little bit of everything, apart from chicken wings with different sauces, french fries accompanied by a delicious sangria and soft drinks. My son wanted it that way, he was very happy with it and we were very happy with him; we spent a very pleasant afternoon with our family; although my eldest daughter was not able to be with us because she had work commitments. While we were eating and talking about our day, we could see that we were not the only ones celebrating a school promotion, as there were other families doing the same.

We took a lot of pictures, so that we could keep them in our family album. In my case I wanted to share my day with you and immortalize it in my blog, as part of my legacy for my family and for you; since I am very clear that days like these are unrepeatable and deserve to be kept in our memories with photos, videos to enjoy them with the passing of time and to be kept in posterity. Both his dad and I feel very proud and happy, because together we have built a beautiful family and our children are moving forward, growing, in health and blessing. To have the joy of enjoying with your children is priceless. I am sure that this will remain in my son's mind, as one of the most special moments for him and that is what we wanted to give him, for his achievement and good student performance. Now comes a well deserved vacation, let's see what's coming these days, Greetings friends!

Si hay algo que nos llena de orgullo y felicidad son los logros de nuestros hijos y en esta ocasión le tocó a mi hijo menor, Emanuel, pues acabó su año escolar pasando de educación básica a secundaria. Es el comienzo de una nueva etapa escolar totalmente diferente, que va de la mano con el comienzo de su adolescencia, como decimos en nuestro país, "paso de camisa blanca a azul" que es parte del uniforme escolar y como todo hoy en día, estuvo lleno de muchas nuevas costumbres, como "el último timbre" que no es más que el último día de clases, el "rayado de camisas" (esa costumbre si es de mi época ja, ja, ja) y su acto de promoción; hoy les vengo a compartir lo que fue ese día.

Empezó bien temprano, fue en el colegio, en su patio central, donde todo fue acondicionado para este acto: la imposición de medallas, diplomas y demás; donde los familiares, maestras y personal directivo les acompañamos, durante toda la mañana. Al verlo recibir su reconocimiento me sentí hinchada de emoción, pues mi bebé se me ha crecido, en ese instante me pregunte ¿en qué momento sucedió?, luego al culminar el acto en la escuela, decidimos salir a celebrar en uno de nuestros restaurantes favoritos "La Sabana, Gourmet", que es una hermosa casa colonial donde tienen diferentes espacios acorde al gusto del comensal. Tienen una hermosa terraza al aire libre que es nuestro espacio preferido del lugar.

Aparte de que ofrecen un menú muy variado y muy apreciado entre los chicos, como hamburguesas, cachapas con diferentes contornos, queso, jamón, cochino, pizzas y muchas cosas ricas. Nosotros pedimos una bandeja con todo un poco, aparte de alitas de pollo con diferentes salsas, papas fritas acompañadas de una rica sangría y refrescos. Pues mi hijo así lo quiso, estaba muy feliz con ello y nosotros con él; pasamos una tarde muy amena en familia; aunque faltó mi hija mayor que, por tener compromisos laborales, no pudo estar con nosotros. Mientras comíamos y comentamos nuestro día, pudimos ver que no solamente nosotros estábamos celebrando una promoción escolar, pues había otras familias, haciendo lo propio.

Tomamos bastantes fotos, para que nos quedaran en el recuerdo del álbum familiar. En mi caso quise compartirles mi día e inmortalizarlo en mi blog, como parte de mi legado para mi familia y para ustedes; ya que tengo muy claro que días como estos son irrepetibles y merecen ser mantenidos en nuestros recuerdos con fotos, vídeos para poder disfrutarlos con el pasar del tiempo y se mantenga en la posteridad. Tanto su papá como yo, nos sentimos muy orgullosos y felices, porque juntos hemos construido una bonita familia y nuestros hijos van avanzando, creciendo, en salud y en bendición. Tener la dicha de disfrutar con tus hijos no tiene precio. Estoy segura de que esto quedó en la mente de mi hijo, como uno de los momentos más especiales para él y eso fue lo que quisimos brindarle, por su logro y buen desempeño estudiantil. Ahora vienen unas merecidas vacaciones, vamos a ver qué viene por estos días, ¡Saludos amigos!
