Celebrating Our Anniversary (Es/ En)

Today is a very special day for my husband and me, since we are celebrating our anniversary and we decided to go out for lunch and spend some time, just him and me; to get out of the routine, out of the house chores, out of the routine with our children, for a moment so we decided to go out as we haven't done for a long time. We got up early, left the kids with their older sister, got ready and went out.

We had several options with our favorite foods; there was Chinese food, since we love it and we have a friend who has a restaurant where they serve exquisite food; but also, I wanted to take my husband to a restaurant where my oldest daughter took me once and I thought it was very nice and it is none other than La Sábana Gourmet. It is a place where they serve all kinds of food, but more focused on our gastronomy, although there are other options for those who prefer to eat something different.

They offer, creole soups, with all its ingredients, corn, abundant vegetables, meat, chicken, they also offer cachapas with hand cheese and fried pork, various salads for all tastes; but if you do not want any of this, but want something faster like a hamburger, you have them with different options. If your taste is for pizzas, they have them as you wish; besides, they offer drinks of your choice, from natural juices, to wines, beers, according to your taste.

This restaurant is located in an old mansion of our famous parish La Pastora, in Caracas Venezuela; from its terrace, which is one of the places to eat, you can see our beautiful mountain El Avila, it is an intimate, familiar place with a decoration between old, country and at the same time minimalist, where they highlight from old typewriters to antique furniture. From the moment we arrived, we were treated as if we were at home. My husband and I decided on a Creole platter, with cachapas, fried pork, Mediterranean salad, french fries, yucca and a delicious papelon juice with lemon, very much our own, heh, heh, heh.

While we were waiting for our food, it gave us the opportunity to catch up, take the pictures I share with you and spend a relaxed afternoon, sharing a delicious meal, with a nice background music according to the place. My husband was my photographer in several of the photos I share with you, he is my "advisor", ha, ha, ha, ha. We had a different afternoon, where we both thanked God for that moment, since we have been married for a few years now; it is always good to reconnect from time to time, with activities where we can reinforce the pleasure of being together.

We enjoyed a beautiful evening, delicious food, the space and excellent service, leaving both of us with the intention of repeating the experience. I hope you liked my special evening and my tour of this beautiful restaurant, full of so many unique spaces, worthy of sharing and most importantly, sharing my celebration with my husband, greetings!

Hoy es un día muy especial para mi esposo y para mí, ya que estamos de aniversario y decidimos salir a almorzar y pasar un rato, solo él y yo; salir de la rutina, de los quehaceres de la casa, de la rutina con nuestros hijos, por un momento así es que decidimos salir como hace un buen tiempo no lo hacíamos. Nos desocupamos temprano, dejamos a los chicos con su hermana mayor, nos arreglamos y salimos.

Teníamos varias opciones con nuestras comidas favoritas; estaba la comida china, ya que nos encanta y tenemos un amigo que tiene un restaurante donde sirven una comida exquisita; pero también, yo quería llevar a mi esposo a un restaurante donde mi hija mayor, me llevó en una ocasión y que me pareció muy lindo y no es otro que La Sábana Gourmet. Es un lugar donde sirven todo tipo de comida, pero más enfocado en nuestra gastronomía, aunque hay otras opciones para quienes prefieran comer algo diferente.

Ellos ofrecen, sopas criollas, con todo sus ingredientes, maíz, abundantes verduras, carne, pollo, también ofrecen cachapas con queso de mano y cochino frito, ensaladas varias para todos los gustos; pero si no quieres nada de esto, sino que quieres algo más rápido como una hamburguesa, las tienes con diferentes opciones. Si tu gusto es por pizzas, las tienen como las desees; aparte, ofrecen bebidas de las que gustes, desde jugos naturales, hasta vinos, cervezas, según sea tu gusto.

Este restaurant está ubicado en una vieja casona de nuestra famosa parroquia La Pastora, en Caracas Venezuela; desde su terraza que es uno de los ambientes dispuestos para comer, puedes divisar a nuestra hermosa montaña El Ávila, es un lugar íntimo, familiar con una decoración entre antigua, campestre y a la vez minimalista, donde destacan desde viejas máquinas de escribir hasta un mobiliario antiguo. Desde que llegamos, nos trataron como en casa. Mi esposo y yo nos decidimos por una bandeja criolla, con cachapas, cochino frito, ensalada Mediterránea, papas fritas, yuca y un rico jugo de papelón con limón, muy nuestro, je, je, je.

Mientras esperábamos nuestra comida, nos dio la oportunidad de ponernos al día, tomar las fotos que les comparto y pasar una tarde relajada, compartiendo una rica comida, con una linda música de fondo acorde al lugar. Mi esposo fue mi fotógrafo en varias de las fotos que les comparto, es mi "asesor", ja, ja, ja. Tuvimos una tarde diferente, donde ambos agradecimos a Dios por ese momento, ya que ya son unos cuantos años juntos y de matrimonio; siempre es bueno reconectarse de vez en cuando, con actividades donde reforcemos el gusto de poder estar juntos.

Disfrutamos de una linda tarde, rica comida, del espacio y de una atención excelente, quedando ambos con el propósito de volver a repetir la experiencia.
