The nightmare became a reality! She dreaded this day when the police would come to her house with the message no parent wants to get. Ever since the stalking began she was afraid Anne would get hurt. They said she was overreacting. Now those same people were leaving flowers and condolences.

how's Anne welfare, I hope nobody were in pains?
This is often the case when authorities won't believe a situation is dire. Why does the person, usually the female, has to lose her life before they believe the danger she foretells. "He hasn't done anything yet," is what I hear often on the news.
Unfortunately, children are left behind while the authorities scratch their heads, knowing they have been called out sometimes to the home for domestic disturbances, then leave.
Oh, when will this change, especially in the U.S. where it happens too, too frequently.
