You missed something :-)
You can convert HBD or Hive directly to Lightning and it has been tested and works with the Chivo wallet in El Salvador.
You can also receive Hive from Lightning by publishing a video on @threespeak and receiving streaming sats. A lot more info about this is coming soon!

If you want to try it now you can. https://lnd.v4v.app -> paste in a Lightning invoice, hit the HBD or Hive button and chose between Hive Keychain or HiveSigner and boom, your invoice will be paid in a few seconds and you'll get a confirmation note with your change as a transfer on Hive.
It works everywhere, but only in El Salvador is Lightning legal tender!
