The fight with the living

Last time I showed and talked about me taking Ellie to the Outskirts when Tess was done checking the merchandise that we should get after we delver Ellie to the Fireflies. I stopped writing the last post showing all three of them were captured by some soldiers outside and this time I'm going to talk about my fights with those livings.

After calling for reinforcements, the soldiers were using their scanner to check if our peoples were infected or not. It was fine till they came to check Ellie as the girl started fighting them right when the soldier tried scanning her.

Both Zoel and Tess had to fight those soldiers as Ellie took the first move and they took down both the soldiers. The scanner scanned Ellie successfully and Tess was surprised seeing the result.

Tess handed the scanner over to Joel and he found out that Ellie was infected. Tess pointed her gun towards Ellie and both Tess and Joel was thinking that maybe Merlene tried to set them up. Ellie showed them one of her bite wound that was as old as a week when the living turns in seconds after they get bitten.

The adult couple couldn't believe the girl so Ellie asked why Merlene would set them up.

Suddenly, the reinforcements arrived close to them so they had to hid themselves up so they don't get caught.

We started moving trying to hid ourselves from the soldiers around and we had to be careful in this path as there were soldiers all around the place carrying heavy guns.

We kept moving till we reached the outskirts properly and then we noticed more soldiers were looking around for us.

We reached a wrecked place with devastated buildings and there were some armed soldiers wandering around looking for us and one of them came close to me whom I took down quietly in stealth.

Then another one was coming to this side and I had nothing to do but taking that dude down quietly when another one of them came too close to us that I thought I'd get caught but fortunately I could take him down as well.

This soldier then ran outside the buildings seeing all the corpses of his colleagues and we went to the other side of the building to see what he do and then he came looking for us again and I just went and took him down from behind.

We kept moving till we reached a big tunnel and we kept moving further holding the torch as it was too dark in there.

At a point, I reached this end of the tunnel where there was a gate that I couldn't open for the moment. I normally get hint when there's a gate that can be opened but I didn't find anything like that on this gate. I tried shooting but nothing happened and I got confused there.

I kept running around through the dirty water there and I noticed Tess reacts when I point the torch on her and this kind of realism really surprised me.

Then I searched for a gameplay on YouTube and I just noticed they should be able to open this gate easily. After reaching the gate again, I tried using the hotkey to open a gate and it was opened at once. Later I realized I hid the HUD so I didn't get any hint there.

So we were out of the shithole and reached the outskirts after all where we shouldn't be scared of the soldiers anymore but there are not fences to keep them safe from the scary zombies of this game that we should start seeing very soon.
