Fought a Soul Eater in Volunder Mines.
Now that we got the key of Tyr's secret door, we were exploring around the Lake of Nine as there were some new undiscovered lands around. After exploring and looting some lands, we found a soul eater in Volunder Mines and this post covers that story.
That's what happened in my last post and I'm leaving the photos above just to let you know what happened before.
This land is called Stone Falls.
We used a boat to get to the location that we noticed the other day and on our way there, we noticed an invisible tower in the lake which should be the Jotunheim Realm Tower that Freya said was missing from the lake.
After trying to kill a green bird (Odin's eye) there, we started exploring around this land and the arrows of Atreus came in handy in this land as I had to blast a lot of red crystals there to get some loots and now we were staring at the land where we were the other day from when we discovered this Stone Falls land.
Suddenly, I found a spirit there in Stone Falls who was saying that his fathers grave lies on an island to the east and asked me to not to mistake his mother's statue of Thor with that monstrous eyesore to the south.
Then I found some monsters there that I killed with pleasure and each time I was passing the lake spirit after killing some monsters, he was giving more hints to me. He said he can't rest while his mother's murderer stand above his father's grave and with this, I guess he was talking about Thor who probably killed his father. And he told me later that his father was buried with a valuable family heirloom which is mine if I help him. But his words were not clear so I left him there for good.
After collecting all the loots we could from Stone Falls, we left the land and we started rowing the boat towards Volunder Chasm which is a new area that we haven't discovered yet after the Serpent changed the location of Tyr's Temple and Atreus retrieved a dew of luck from the lake in the meantime.
After rowing the boat through the frost for some times, we discovered Volunder Mines which looked like a dead end to this part so I was trying to see what I could find there.
And the Odin's eye bored me a lot cause it kept flying in a limited radius and I kept trying to hit it throwing my Leviathan Axe but my axe was not hitting it after a lot of tries. But I didn't lose hope and planned to hit it no matter how many time I needed to try and at last I could do it.
I was wrong about this place being a dead end. The deeper I was going, the more I was exploring and we found Brok and his workshop in there somewhere and I did some upgrades as well.
There was a gate the we opened using a skull of something and Atreus already read a warning about dead inside but that's not a problem as this game is all about the dead's. And we had the dwarven favor about finding a dwarf with a green ring.
Suddenly we noticed this giant merged into the rock and seeing it, Atreus was saying that its a soul eater. The kid also added that if that kills them, that's it, no Valhalla, no Hel, no afterlife ever. Then Kratos said they doesn't attack and it left that place opening a door and Atreus was saying that his mom made them sounds more dangerous than that.
We found a dead body of a dwarf there but Kratos confirmed that it was not the dwarf we were looking for in there and we found a lot of monsters there how kept coming and we kept fighting them.
After a while, we found the giant again but it was not in our grasp and we noticed the ring were looking for on a severed hand but it was attached to the giants head. Atreus was suggesting we return and tell Brok what happened to the dwarf. Atreus was frightened of it and that's why Kratos decided to fight it.
We had to find an alternative way to get to the giant which we found and after reaching it, Kratos asked Atreus to say quiet and not to make sudden movements. As soon as it noticed us, it started throwing fire rocks towards us and I had to aim for its chest which it kept hiding using its hands.
After fighting it for around 14/15 minutes and after dying 3/4 times, I could at last take down this Soul Eater and I guess this was the strongest monster of its kind we've found till this moment.
After retrieving the rind of the dwarf from there, we noticed these mines of jewels and now I understood why this place was called Volunder Mines. I couldn't take any of them though as Kratos didn't need them as well.
After fighting a lot more deadly monsters on our way, we reached Brok's shop and gave him the ring along with the severed head. Brok then asked me to meet him at the Landsuther Mines as he's got another lead on the dwarf we were looking for. But I don't think I'm gonna work on this as I'm planning to find Tyr's secret door now.
Leaving the mines behind, I started rowing the boat before I stopped playing and Atreus was saying he can't believe that Odin and Freya were ever married.
We'll check what happens next in another post.
I'll try to talk about more special moments soon from my play in God of War or maybe from other games.

I hope you can play this installment soon and I might have to wait for the next installment as I don't know if that has any PC release date yet.
