Shocking By The Sound Of Water In The River
The clock on my cellphone showed 8.50 am when I woke up for a moment. My sleep routine has changed this month of Ramadan. I have become accustomed to sleeping after the morning prayer. The rain was pouring down very heavily. I hugged the pillow that had been my loyal bedmate for the past few days again. The cold weather really pampers anyone who wants to fall asleep.
My sleep lasted for two hours. Before the cold weather finally woke me up from my sleep. I have to make a post on Hive today. My rupiah coffers are empty and I have to do something to save coins to be disbursed in the next few days. With this spirit, I got up from my bed and took some pictures to share on the Hive platform.
A few hours later, I faintly heard a fairly loud rumbling sound. I immediately knew where the sound came from. The river that flowed only 10 meters from the house was the source of the sound. The rain that lasted from morning until 13.30 in the afternoon had caused the water discharge in the Tangse mountains to rise quite high.
The rainy season has indeed entered its last month in March. The dry season in the next six months will be replaced by the sun that will sting the earth where we stand. However, concerns about high rainfall at the end of the rainy season often arise. The riverbank embankments built by the government in several places along the river flow appear to have collapsed due to erosion. The overflowing water that almost reaches the road is quite worrying for the residents of Pulo Tanjong village, Metareum.
