Hola amigos, feliz día! Espero que se encuentren super bien y que hayan tenido un lindo día, por mi parte, así fue. Como les comentaba al inicio de la semana, mi fin de semana aunque prácticamente lo pasé en casa aproveché que el Lunes fue festivo para salir y distraerme un poco, sobre todo, porque siempre es bueno darse un respiro de la cocina ¿No? y en este caso, este fue el día elegido.

Junto a mi pareja decidimos visitar el centro comercial para caminar un poco, visitar algunos almacenes donde queríamos averiguar algunas cosas y por supuesto, aprovechar la hora del almuerzo para visitar un lindo restaurante en la plazoleta de comidas o como lo llaman en este centro comercial ''La calle bristo'' Ya que más que una plazoleta con pequeños sitios de comida, es todo un piso dedicado a restaurantes de todo tipo dando la ilusión de que como su nombre lo indica, estas en una calle.

Hello friends, happy day! I hope you are feeling great and that you had a nice day, for my part, I did. As I told you at the beginning of the week, although I practically spent my weekend at home, I took advantage of the fact that Monday was a holiday to go out and distract myself a little, especially because it is always good to take a break from the kitchen, right? and in this case, this was the chosen day.

Together with my partner we decided to visit the mall to walk around a bit, visit some stores where we wanted to find out some things and of course, take advantage of lunchtime to visit a nice restaurant in the food court or as they call it in this mall ''La calle bristo'' Since more than a small square with small food places, it is a whole floor dedicated to restaurants of all kinds giving the illusion that as its name suggests, you are on a street.

Fer me dio la opción de escoger el restaurante de mi preferencia y por supuesto, no dude en escoger Benito Juárez y es que tenía años que no probaba sus comidas y da la casualidad de que ya quedan pocas sedes en la ciudad así que si o si tenía que aprovechar. Una vez entramos habían pocas personas en el lugar por lo que fue fácil escoger una mesa y la atención fue bastante rápida también, debo decirles que quedé completamente enamorada del lugar, de todos sus colores, las diferentes pinturas de catrinas que había, el papel tapiz de rosas, las plantas artificiales y por supuesto, los pequeños adornos.

Otra cosa que debo mencionar me encantó es que había un pequeño televisor donde estaban transmitiendo la música que sonaba en el lugar y que sin duda era de todo mi agrado, desde baladas románticas hasta pop rock latino por supuesto de origen Mexicano también, como lo es Maná.

Fer gave me the option to choose the restaurant of my preference and of course, I did not hesitate to choose Benito Juarez and it had been years since I had tried their food and it so happens that there are few places left in the city so I had to take advantage of it. Once we entered there were few people in the place so it was easy to choose a table and the service was pretty fast too, I must tell you that I was completely in love with the place, all its colors, the different paintings of catrinas that were there, the wallpaper of roses, the artificial plants and of course, the small ornaments.

Another thing I must mention that I loved is that there was a small TV where they were transmitting the music that was playing in the place and that without a doubt was to my liking, from romantic ballads to Latin pop rock of course of Mexican origin as well, such as Maná.

En la mesa la decoración era bastante sencilla pero llamativa y linda, se trataba de un centro de mesa con salsas picantes, servilletas y una botella de tequila ''Jose Cuervo'' que estaba decorada alusiva a las festividades Mexicanas, me pareció hermosa, también, nos hicieron entrega de un pequeño código QR el cual escaneamos para poder ver todas las opciones del menú.

At the table the decoration was quite simple but striking and cute, it was a centerpiece with hot sauces, napkins and a bottle of ''Jose Cuervo'' tequila that was decorated alluding to the Mexican festivities, I thought it was beautiful, also, they gave us a small QR code which we scanned to see all the options on the menu.

Mientras nos decidíamos por lo que comeríamos pedimos unas bebidas, en este caso unas sodas Hatsu de Sandía que estaban bastante refrescantes y quedaron como anillo al dedo ya que el calor en la ciudad esta un poco insoportable. En este caso, yo me decidí por un Enchirrito Grill el cual consistía en una tortilla de harina rellena con frijoles refritos, lechuga, pico de gacho, guacamole, salsa ranchera, crema agria y pollo, bañada con salsa enchilada mexicana, crema agria y abundante queso gratinado. Por un valor de $29.600 pesos Colombianos ($7.37 Dólares)

Y Fer por otra parte pidió unas enchiladas de pollo, champiñón y espinaca que aunque su presentación era parecida a la mía, la diferencia es que estas no venían rellenas con frijoles, lechuga, picho de gallo ni guacamole y por supuesto, como lo pueden ver en la foto la presentación era de 3 y también, le dieron la opción de acompañar los platillos con una canastica de pan recién horneado.

While we were deciding what we would eat we ordered some drinks, in this case some Hatsu Watermelon sodas that were quite refreshing and fit like a glove since the heat in the city is a bit unbearable. In this case, I decided on an Enchirrito Grill which consisted of a flour tortilla filled with refried beans, lettuce, pico de gacho, guacamole, ranchero sauce, sour cream and chicken, topped with Mexican enchilada sauce, sour cream and plenty of grilled cheese. For a value of $29,600 Colombian pesos ($7.37 dollars).

And Fer on the other hand ordered some chicken, mushroom and spinach enchiladas that although their presentation was similar to mine, the difference was that they did not come stuffed with beans, lettuce, picho de gallo or guacamole and of course, as you can see in the photo the presentation was of 3 and also, he was given the option to accompany the dishes with a basket of freshly baked bread.

En lo personal, las dos opciones me encantaron y es que aunque parecidas se les podía sentir la diferencia con solo probarlas, la de Fer era más tipo lasaña cremosa y mi platillo tenía ese toque picante, cremoso y agrio debido a la combinación de salsas, el queso por supuesto, siempre será el mejor acompañante para este tipo de platillos ya que ayuda a controlar un poco el picante. Por otra parte, les aseguro que la cantidad es grande, llegó un punto donde estaba apurada jaja pero este tipo de salidas no se dan todos los días así que había que aprovechar.

Sin duda, este restaurante me trajo bonitos recuerdos y por supuesto, me gustó volver a probar su sazón, esta vez pidiendo un platillo diferente ya que por lo general solía pedir sus quesadillas o nachos, el pan estaba delicioso, diría que en su punto, se podía sentir una capa de crocancia pero a la vez suavidad y esponjosidad que lo hacía sentir super rico. Al final, pagamos un total de $98.000 pesos Colombianos con servicio incluido ($24.41 Dólar)

Personally, I loved both options and although they were similar you could feel the difference just by tasting them, Fer's was more like a creamy lasagna and my dish had that spicy, creamy and sour touch due to the combination of sauces, cheese of course, will always be the best companion for this type of dish as it helps to control the spiciness a little. On the other hand, I assure you that the quantity is large, there came a point where I was in a hurry haha but this kind of outings do not happen every day so I had to take advantage of it.

Undoubtedly, this restaurant brought back nice memories and of course, I liked to try their seasoning again, this time asking for a different dish since I usually used to order their quesadillas or nachos, the bread was delicious, I would say it was just right, you could feel a layer of crunchiness but at the same time softness and sponginess that made it feel super rich. In the end, we paid a total of $98.000 Colombian pesos with service included ($24.41 USD).

Me encantó esta salida y por supuesto el restaurante en sí, la atención fue bastante amable y rápida, la comida deliciosa y el ambiente de mis favoritos. Al final logré capturar una foto a una de sus mesas que no sé porque me inspiró mucha tranquilidad desde que la vi, así que por aquí se las comparto. Si tienen la oportunidad de visitar este restaurante desde ya les digo que no la desaprovechen, su menú es bastante variado y su sazón muy rico. Nos leemos en una próxima amigos, un abrazo ❤️

I loved this outing and of course the restaurant itself, the service was very friendly and fast, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was one of my favorites. At the end I managed to capture a photo of one of their tables that I don't know why it inspired me a lot of tranquility since I saw it, so here I share it with you.
