Found a nice place in town to unwind at Tataylino's Resto Grill

A nicely decorated restaurant with a nice venue in my hometown is not very common. I could only count at least one or two.

Maybe one of the reason why it is not very common because our town is a small and laid back town somewhere and not many people from other places come here.

But, I know many people especially the locals love a nice place to go with good food and relaxing ambiance to spend time with their friends and love ones.

I would like to share with you a restaurant in town where we held an important gathering with workmates and former colleagues. We need a place for the gathering. Thankfully, we were able to find this place in town. This restaurant has been around for a while and is still doing alright with their business.

The venue (the restaurant) is called Tataylino's Resto Grill located at Poblacion 1, Acompanado Street, Hindang, Leyte. They are open for dine in, food delivery service and venue reservation for gatherings and occasions. It is a family owned business built within their property. Instead of just making a beautiful landscape out of their land, they made the large area into a restaurant business.

To get to this place, we need to ride a potpot or pedalled cab from the market. It's a distance away from the market.

The restaurant has a cozy ambiance. They serve different Filipino dishes. It has a grilling area which I was not able to capture and on the opposite side is the reception area with tables for diners.

There is a rustic touch to it themed with decors that are related to fishing. On the wall are fish tails of different sizes, flippers, fishing rod, and an octopus-like mural. While hanging from the ceiling is a chandelier shaped like a boat which I like the most. I think it a really unique decoration and theme for a restaurant. The owner must have been fond of fishing.

There is also an open space perfect for alfresco dining where we chose to dine later on.

The ground is well maintaned. Felt like I was stepping on an artifcial grass. But these are real grasses.

I also find their handwashing facility very cool. It's made with local materials but the pothos plant climbing around it makes it looks aesthetically unique.

Then there is the small function hall for small gatherings and for special occasions. It also has a rustic design and the fishing themed decorations to it.

In the function hall, the ceiling is decorated with a chandelier made from sarok, a type of hat farmers and fishermen usually use to protect them as they work under the sun or rain.

Aside from the sarok chandelier are lights fixed to a paddle hanging from the ceiling. Isn't that cool. The other building has the boat and here's the paddle. This place is ready to sail. I just love the concept of this restaurant.

Our dinner was ready in buffet style. Since we made advance reservations and also ordered in advance the food we were to share together all were ready on the table. We grabbed some food for dinner and enjoyed the rest of the moments strengthening each other's connections.

The restaurant is not very fancy but it is pretty decent. Overall, it's a nice place to hangout with friends or family.
