MY WEEKEND: HIVE NAIJA MEET UP
My weekend has been so much fun. It started with the just concluded hivenaija meet-up. I can’t tell you how exciting the whole experience was, you needed to have been there yourself to fully understand everything.
The meetup was held at Agodi gardens with about 13 of us including old and new hivians. It was fun and exciting to finally be able to put faces on the names of people I have been connecting with on the blockchain and also to meet some people I didn’t know about.
Everyone shared their hive story, starting from how they got to know about hive to when they joined the blockchain and how their experience has been so far. There was so much to learn and it was nice to meet people who have gone through the same phase as I currently am.
We spent about 4 hours talking about different topics of interest @bhoa spent time to elaborate on his journey and boy he has done a lot on the blockchain. @mistakili was of great help in telling us things we didn’t know yet about the blockchain. @jaydr is fun to be around and calm also, @akubillionaire, it was nice meeting you.
Before the meeting started I spotted some beautiful peacocks and of course, I took pictures of them, well not all of them since the male peacock drew the most attention. His wings were up the whole time, talking about someone who likes being the centre of attention.
p
I saw some horses but I was not particular about them. They were not super attractive and did not have much to make me go close. I would have loved to ride on them but the fee did not seem reasonable for the time they were offering. The horses were a no for me.
Towards the end of the meetup, I had to leave the guys for a while and explore the garden myself. There I met a guy who was willing to let me ride his bicycle and also help me stay steady. He was kind and let me ride for about 10 minutes, we would have gone longer if he didn’t get a flat tire - I enjoyed the ride even though I can't ride a bicycle properly.
It was a really fun day I must say. I look forward to when next we host something like this. I am fairly positive that Hive-Lagos will host a meet-up this year. So that is another opportunity to bond with new people. I can’t wait!
Thanks for stopping by ❤
