LOH CONTEST #75: A MUST DO IN MY CITY
Hello friends! It's another beautiful week for the ladies of the hive community. I was delighted when I saw the questions for this week's contest. I instantly knew I had to participate.
The first question for this week is
If we were to visit you, what is the one "must-do" thing in your hometown? Would it be something to eat, a place to visit, a person to meet, or something else?
I live in a very busy city in my country. Around here everyone is in a hurry and angry. The weather is almost always hot, there's traffic on almost every route. My first answer to anyone wanting to know what they will do in the city I live in would be to stay at home!
That wouldn't be a fun visit for anyone, even for me who is a homebody. So, although I would advise you to stay home, there are some places I wouldn't mind showing you. I may be biased because I love I likebeing around water and the beach provides some much-needed calm to my soul, nevertheless, I would recommend visiting the beach at night.
Going to the beach during the day is sweet but nightlife over here is on another level. There's so much activity and I feel like you'll enjoy the night more when you don't have to deal with a lot of people, traffic and the rest.
Also, I would love you to try a local dish here. It's called "Ewa agoyin" which is overcooked mashed beans with a special sauce combined with what we call "agege bread". The combination of both foods is heavenly. I wish I could share a picture of what it looks like but I don't think I can get a free image of that.
The next question is
What are your thoughts on a "house husband?"
Would you be okay with a relationship where roles were reversed?
This is a tricky one but my answer is pretty straightforward, I am not against the idea of a househusband. The conventional way is for the man to work while the woman takes care of the house, which is pretty good. I think I wouldn't mind staying at home while my husband goes to work - even though housewives work as much as their husbands.
In the same vein, if roles were reversed and I as the woman had to go to work, I am aware that it takes a lot to run a home hence my husband has his fair share of responsibility. I'll definitely be cool with that. It takes a lot to run a home and if the husband wants to do that, then I don't mind.

The ewa goin is a special delicacy, I always welcome the food.
I've not really thought about a house husband, but I guess it should be more or less like a normal role or an agreement between both parties.

I'm a night owl and don't like the sun much too
So, sounds like a great idea
And yes, it does take a lot to run a home and if a man can do it just as good, that's not bad at all ;D

I tend to agree. If the husband and wife are gifted with the desire and skills to assume those roles, even if it'd appear to have traditional roles reversed, they you may as well go on as the family's best strengths.
Thanks for sharing @blezyn ❤️
Indeed, If that is what works best for the family, then it is best they go with that.
Thank you for your comment!
