Last week was my wedding anniversary, we celebrated 16 years of marriage, time goes by so fast that I remember clearly when I was getting ready to get married that day. Everything was so beautiful, my dress, the spectacular church and the photo session in one of the places we used to visit the most when we were engaged.... The Art Center La Estancia, a place that I fell in love with since the first time I visited it, because of its beautiful gardens.

La semana pasada fue mi aniversario de boda, cumplimos 16 años de matrimonio, el tiempo pasa tan rápido que recuerdo claramente cuando me estaba arreglando ese día para casarme. Todo fue muy bonito, mi vestido, la iglesia espectacular y la sesión de fotografías en uno de los lugares que más solíamos visitar cuando eramos novios... El Centro de Arte la estancia, un lugar que me enamoró desde la primera vez que lo visité, por sus hermosos jardines.

Now, after 16 years, we have our princesses, everything has changed, our world revolves around them, sometimes my husband forgets the date of the anniversary, but this time it was me who forgot and my husband surprised me by telling me that in 2 days it would be our anniversary and that he would ask for the day off to celebrate it. I was really surprised, I am usually the one who reminds him (actually I remind him of all the important dates hahaha). Since he had a lot of work, he couldn't ask for the day off, so we thought we would celebrate it after he got off work, but....

Ahora, después de 16 años, tenemos nuestras princesas, todo ha cambiado, nuestro mundo gira en torno a ellas, a veces a mi esposo se le olvida la fecha del aniversario, pero esta vez fue a mi que se me olvidó y mi esposo me sorprendió al decirme que en 2 días sería nuestro aniversario y que pediría el día libre para celebrarlo. La verdad me sorprendió mucho, generalmente soy yo la que se lo recuerdo (en realidad le recuerdo todas las fechas importantes jajaja). Como él tenía mucho trabajo, no pudo pedir el día libre, así que pensamos celebrarlo después que saliera de su trabajo, pero...

Las cosas que pasan....

That day I went shopping, at 7:30 am I like to do it early so there are not so many people and go back home early, but that day everything was closed, it seemed weird, I decided to wait in front of the store, I thought they would open at 8 am. but it was not, it was already 8:15 and nothing, then that changed my plans a bit, since I was planning to shop there early and go somewhere else to buy the fresh vegetables and fruits. When I was finally able to buy things in that place that opened late, I thought about buying some strawberries in a place where they sell them very cheap, and since it was already late I was sure they would already be there.

Ese día fui de compras, a las 7:30 am me gusta hacerlo temprano de manera que no haya tanta gente y regresar temprano a casa, pero ese día todo estaba cerrado, me pareció raro, decidí esperar frente al negocio, pensé que abrirían a las 8 am. pero no fue así, ya eran las 8:15 y nada, entonces eso me cambió un poco los planes, ya que pensaba comprar allí temprano e irme a otro lado a comprar las verduras y frutas frescas. Cuando finalmente pude comprar las cosas en ese lugar que abrió tarde, pensé en comprar unas fresas en un lugar donde las venden muy económica, y como ya era tarde seguro ya estarían allí.

I had to go around the whole block to get to the place where the strawberries were, but when I was half way around the block I felt the car was not slowing down. At first I thought it was my ideas, but when I had to brake again the car would not stop, thank God I was still in town and had not taken the highway, my car is automatic, and I had to go controlling it with the handbrake. I didn't know what to do but I had to think quickly because there were people crossing the road, and there was no place to park and the truth was already panicking a little, my heart was in my mouth about to burst out hahaha.

Tenía que darle la vuelta a toda la manzana para llegar al lugar de las fresas, pero cuando voy por la mitad de la vuelta sentía el carro raro, no frenaba. Al principio pensé que eran ideas mía, pero cuando me tocó frenar otra vez el carro no frenaba, gracias a Dios estaba aún en el pueblo y no había tomado la autopista, mi carro es automático, y me tocó ir controlándolo con el freno de mano. No sabía qué hacer pero debía pensar rápidamente ya que había gente que se atravesaba, y ya no había lugar para estacionar y la verdad ya estaba entrando un poco en pánico, mi corazón estaba en la boca a punto de salirse jajaja.

I called my dad and thank God he had not left yet and I went to his house, there is not so much traffic there and I could get there more easily. I called my husband and he was able to leave work and went to my parents' house and they fixed the car, which had damaged some tires on the brakes that made the whole brake line come off. They finished at 6 pm and tired, we came home. I thanked God very much that the store had opened late that day because otherwise I would have gone to buy the vegetables and fruits immediately and I would have gone by the highway and there I think I would not have been able to control the situation. God always shows us His infinite love and Divine protection.

Llamé a mi papá y gracias a Dios aún no se había ido y fui a su casa, allí no hay tanto tráfico y pude llegar con más facilidad. Llamé a mi esposo y pudo salir del trabajo y fue a la casa de mis padres y arreglaron el carro, al cual se le dañaron unas gomas de los frenos que hacían que se botara toda la liga de freno. Terminaron a las 6 pm y cansados, nos vinimos a la casa. Agradecí mucho a Dios que la tienda haya abierto tarde ese día porque sino yo me hubiese ido a comprar las verduras y frutas de inmediato y hubiese ido por la autopista y allí creo que no hubiese podido controlar la situación. Dios siempre nos muestra su amor infinito y protección Divina.

We had to celebrate the next day and the truth was better. We spent a relaxed day without stress, we walked through the Sambil of Caracas, I had not been there for a long time. We were able to go through everything without rushing, we always go short of time and we barely go a little. For lunch we ate shawarmas, very good, from "Pasargad", I was very hungry and I didn't remember to take photos, but here is their instagram https://www.instagram.com/pasargadccs/ . There you can see the menu, if someone goes to the Sambil, they are right in front and in our case we ordered them to take away and we ate it at the fair in the Shopping Center.

Nos tocó celebrar el día siguiente y la verdad fue mejor. Pasamos un día relajado sin estres, paseamos por el Sambil de Caracas, tenía mucho tiempo sin ir allí. Pudimos recorrerlo todo sin apuros, siempre vamos cortos de tiempo y apenas recorremos un poco. De almuerzo comimos shawarmas, muy buenas, de "Pasargad", tenía mucha hambre y no recordé tomar fotos, pero les dejo aquí el instagram de ellos https://www.instagram.com/pasargadccs/ . Allí pueden ver el menú, si alguno va al Sambil, ellos están justo al frente y en nuestro caso las pedimos para llevar y nos la comimos en la feria del Centro Comercial.

Later, it was time for dessert... my favorite part hahaha. We visited a place that we did not know, right there in the Sambil on the Autopista level, it is called Zaituna Café.

Más tarde, llegó la hora del postre.... mi parte favorita jajaja. Visitamos un lugar que no conocíamos, allí mismo en el Sambil en el nivel Autopista, se llama Zaituna Café.

A very nice and pleasant place, very good attention and desserts, a delight !!!. I fell in love at first sight with the chocolate cake, but since I always ask for chocolate and they had so much variety I wanted to choose something different, it took me about 15 minutes to decide, but in the end I chose the chocolate one lol, and my husband chose a coconut one with passion fruit that was also delicious and y mocaccino. I really recommend it when you go to Sambil one day.

Un lugar muy bonito y agradable, la atención muy buena y los postres, una delicia!!!. Me enamoré a primera vista de la torta de chocolate, pero como siempre pido chocolate y tenían tanta variedad quise escoger algo diferente, tardé aproximadamente 15 minutos viendo todo para decidirme, pero al final escogí la de cholate jajaja, y mi esposo escogió una de coco con parchita que también estaba deliciosa.

They also offer sandwiches and drinks such as smoothies, teas, coffees, we ordered mochaccino, in my case you can imagine why... it was good too, I really recommend it when you go to the Sambil.

También ofrecen sandwich y bebidas como merengadas, tes, cafés, nosotros pedimo mocaccino, en mi caso ya se imaginarán por qué... estaba bueno también, la verdad se los recomiendo cuando vayan al Sambil.

It was a perfect day because there was no rush for anything, we were also alone all day since my parents stayed with the girls, we felt strange without them, but they enjoyed a sleepover with their cousin at my parents' house.

Fue un día perfecto porque no hubo prisa de nada, además estuvimos solos todo el día ya que mis padres se quedaron con las niñas, nos sentíamos extraños sin ellas, pero ellas disfrutaron una pijamada con su prima en casa de mis padres.
