Weird Food Combinations - LOH #87
Hello everyone. I've always been interested in trying new foods but as a child I was told that certain things were gross or unhealthy so I never tried them. Now that I'm older and have more knowledge of what's healthy and what isn't, I am now able to try some of those odd foods. Here are a few that I like:
Chocolate covered strawberries with pickles - I know it sounds disgusting but I love it! It makes me think of summertime and being at the beach.
Bacon wrapped dates - This one has been around forever but I just recently discovered how good they taste. They're sweet and salty all at once.
Chicken fried steak - My husband loves this dish and we make it every Sunday morning. It's not something I would eat on my own but it's very tasty when prepared correctly.
Avocado ice cream - I saw this on an episode of Chopped and had to try it. It's actually pretty good.
Meatballs with cocoa - When I was little my dad used to make meatballs with cocoa powder and he would serve them over apple sauce. I don't know why I liked it but I did. He also made meatloaf with chocolate sauce. I made these meatballs yesterday and my family loved them. Here's the recipe if anyone wants to try them out: Meatball with cocoa

I honestly never heard of that before, but If you say it is good..
Then I have to try it... EVEN if I am no chocolate fan.
Meatballs and cocoa, never heard of that Eather.
Really interesting food combinations here, and it is cool how tastes and memories can make us love the weardest things.
