Why do so many people have this stigma that ads are bad. Especially when some of the revenue is going into the assets you hold. I'll never understand how people think things work without ads lol

ads are fine the issue with peakd doing ads is they bad mouthed inLeo for doing them over and over and so did the rest of the Hive front-ends.

That is why you should never support anything old school hive

Issue is that old school hive has so much hive that accumulates more hive that's it's pretty much impossible for anyone or group of people to catch up and change anything. They just keep collecting massive DHF funds which then earn stupid amounts of interest on it in either HBD or hive. I think ads are always fine as long as it's not crazy there's a threshold which is good for all.

not a fan of seeing "leo community" doing similar things that it did few years ago. Khals ideas suffer because of it.

on the why ads are bad. Inleo had 2 different ads providers, both didn't work out because you can do what they tell you or they will not show ads on your platform. Or you can be rich mf and say

guess it depends on the ad. If itโ€™s leading to leverage trading or scams then they must go. But if they are positive for price performance we need more ads lol

I mean you could argue that it looks tacky to have ads on a website.

The idea behind Hive is that the blockchain pays out rewards so that you don't have to get sponsorships or partner up with tech giants like Google.

and where do you think that money/value for hive comes from or for LEO it isn't just made out of thin air. Also the cost to run a site like InLeo or hive etc the front ends have server costs, development costs etc.

Hive/Leo get their value from the market, just like Bitcoin does. As people buy or sell the token, its value changes.

Yes I understand there are costs involved, I thought that's why the decentralized hive fund (DHF) exists.

I'd love to believe that but I don't mainly because LEO and Hive don't have direct access to Fiat currency as Bitcoin does.

Some people are bad at business. Cash flow from fiat world without on boarding. Just like using Google when Presearch will pay you $PRE and allow you to set inputs for your searches.

Same people probably accept ads on TV, Radio, Newspapers, and Magazines without a second thought.

Ads are fine if you can somehow show how the entire ecosystem benefits from it. Inleo leads the way as usual.
