Hive itself has been good but a few of the nodes have been having serious issues lately which has been causing havoc to front facing applications. The thing is applications need to figure out a way to detect when a node is down and to swap to a backup or something as front facing users simply don't want to be bothered with it or understand what's going on. Instead to them it simply just looks like nothing is working and everything is busted which is very frustrating to new users and old users.

That being said I'm still highly building my stakes in hive and hive applications to the point of where things are primed. One of the largest will be land this week FINALLY (I mean I really hope so I won't truly believe it until I see it happen lol)

I'll get into the details of that later down the article.

GOALS

Goal: 150,000+ Current: 102,525.63

I don't have the luxury of some of getting massive payouts from the articles I spend hours writing. Mainly because I've spoken my mind on topics of which some people don't agree with which causes me not to get votes, muted and so on which still blows my mind because through what I voice is experince and caring that Hive becomes a success. I'm only of the highest holders of Hive itself so to think otherwise would be down right silly.

Thus a vast majority of the hive I have has come from investing. My payouts most of the time barely scratch $20 in value which is about $10 worth of hive on the daily it's tiny! That in no way discourages me though and instead just gives me a little bit harder of a battle for going against the grain. For some reason a lot of people around hive can't have talks about view points and instantly just get offended and block you, don't vote on you or downvote you in some rare cases (mainly in the past). To me I believe everyone has valid view points and I want to hear them all. In some cases the views of others have swayed my votes on things and I believe having a open mindset like that is what makes a powerful person.

With that out of the way the hive stacks are building nicely and I only expect them to really start to scale here next month. Currently I'm pushing around 1,000 new hive a month but I want to double that or better with 2024 coming.

The HBD savings has been growing as well. Now hitting over 3,000 HBD feels good but it's a long way away from the 182,500 I want (which would be 100HBD daily) I'm in a bit of a internal battle with myself about how much HBD I want over Hive and what might be the best trade off. For now it's a bit of a even 50/50 split

Again I'm going to voice my opinion here and say I'm a bit frustrated with how things have been going here. We waiting years for LEOAds and as far as I can tell we have no ads again and we still have yet to see any of that paid out to users in the form of APY. It honestly feels like the team is so side tracked right now with the DHF funds that they are losing focus of their own platform. I could be wrong but that's the feeling I have right now and I honestly think that's the feeling many old investors such as myself have.

My hopes are we get back on track and quickly and start focusing on the real things that matter that will bring up token value and a real reason for people wanting to stick around and use the front end.

Again I am pretty heavily invested in LEO in not only money but also time so to think that my feelings are to damage and not help are simply just stupid and instead I care about the health and speak up when I see troubled areas from the general community. For some reason people often take that as I'm trash talking a platform which still just blows my mind.

Splinterlands

Goals: 1,000,000 SPS+ Enough DEC to run 142 plots of land this will adjust once land is release and other aspects of mining are introduced.

For all the troubles Splinterlands has gone through those that have stuck it out could be up 50%+ on their SPS investments they made in the last few months. The prices have been so low on both DEC and SPS that there was (and in the case of SPS) still is a real opportunity here.

I have a total of 142 plots of land and I've tested out my battle plan so far to the point that I'm ready to bring some serious land online. My hopes are that the passive income this generates will fuel HIVE and HBD growth to new levels. In the last bull run Splinterlands was making me $150+ daily in passive income and my total asset value was over $500,000 (Now it's roughly $100,000) but that just goes to show you how much markets can change. I'm still very hopeful of what's possible and what this game can generate as we roll into 2024 and the next bull market. I'll admit if my one card goes up to $20,000 again though I'll be cashing it in! It's pretty wild to think that 20,000 HBD could be dropped in from one NFT card sale and almost generate 11 HBD on the daily. This is why I LOVE crypto!

Investment into other Hive blockchain applications is still on going but It's shifted a bit in the way I do it. I no longer am delegating as much out and instead I act more towards buying of assets when milestones are reached. I realized my mistake in the past of delegating out hive to projects and then seeing underdeliver. Now they get nothing from me unless they show progress.
