It's almost like we have come full circle with crypto and I'll have to admit I saw this coming years ago when people started yelling for main stream adoption of crypto. You pretty much where asking for profits while sacraficing most of what bitcoin was built on in the first place and that was a means to do transactions and wealth outside of the setup system.

Now it feels like we just continue to adopt it more and more into tranditional finance and Kraken has made another move towards this.

TradeStation and Kraken

The other day I wrote about Crypto Wallets and The Excessive Amount Of Them In short the wallet is meant to be open source and to collect as little information as possible on the person behind the wallet something that many other wallets seem to want to constantly collect as of late.

News today shows us that Kraken is making some big moves as of late hitting headlines once again with their acquisition of TradeStation crypto. Now the big plus about this is that Kraken is a fully trusted USA entity that has the ability to really open things up for every day people to get in on crypto.

It's also important to note that Tradestation over the last year has been acquiring many licenses to do money transfers in states (we see this happening with Elon Musk and twitter for example and see what a very long process this whole thing is) this will greatly speed up the growth of Kraken and give them a leg up on some competition in the space in terms of getting easier access to fiat and crypto funds.

It's pretty clear that Kraken wants to make big plays this year in the crypto world and be somewhat like Coinbase but try to decentralize themselves a bit more. In fact so much so that I'm actully going to start an account over there today!

Kraken has mainly been focused down in the state of Florida primarily Miami as it team up with the mayor to try and help Miami become a "crypto hub" back in early 2022. Then the bear market set in and pretty much everyone forgot about it to only be here now two years later and see renewed focus in all of these areas.

The Markets

This leads me a bit into the current markets. My price point for Bitcoin has been around the 60k - 65k mark so when we where hovering in the 70k for the last few days it felt high to me personally. These massive dips like we saw before are at least to me perfect times to dollar cost average in.

While some people will say just invest anytime with dollar cost averaging I feel you can be somewhat selecting and invest weekly or month based on how far these markets fall as they always tend to bounce back up. Now while you may not win in every case I will have to say with dollar cost averaging in plus reading the markets a good bit I feel like I'm far higher up in terms of value and bitcoin accumulation then if I would have just dollar cost averaged in say on every Monday.
