Some big news for the backend of EXODE, it seems like more developers than just @elindos are working on the game! I'm sure that there will be a bit of a slowdown at first due to the new circumstances, but this will surely help speed things along in the long run.
In other news, a new Alpha Card has been illustrated! I did not expect this at all, but either the Mysterious Robot or Mysterious AI will be revealed in the next episode of Elindos Records! I am very excited, time to see what the new card does soon!

This is a shotgun that has 50 power, but can be upgraded to have 100. That makes it the strongest weapon in the game (other than maybe the Galactic Peacemaker). This shotgun can put down looters in one shot, and will most likely be very helpful in surviving the alien onslaught.

I'd like to see random events with multiple choices for moving forward, such as in FTL: Faster Than Light or Slay the Spire.

Um, I think potential build sites, mineral deposits, weird monoliths could be fun.

The video on away features looked good. I look forward to seeing more about the planet that I have and finding out more about minerals and ores.
But EXODE has either updated or stood still a few months ago

I have no captain with your current HIVE id so I have to assume you are not playing. But in case you are playing with another id, I take it you have not been on our website as it changed in September.
I understand progress is a tough issue to observe. Elindos Records does some effort to try to show some updates and contents.

Our development log on our discord shows it too and has new entries every 1 to 5 days. I hope this will help people stay in touch with updates.
The Away Teams is a big content for us, as is the coming Alpha 3!

At current status, EXODE is hard to fully understand on first attempt, we'll improve our first twenty minutes of gameplay once after deploying our Away Teams update!

EXODE has been accepting players all the time - I think you may be misunderstanding us for something else?
Then it was reported to me badly by other users, of course you know better than me if you are interested in the development of the game or not, I have always liked it for the graphics and everything but I have never seen some users carry it, I hope that as soon as I'll enter the game I'll change my mind, by the way, is there a community on the game an official profile on hive or something like that?

I think the Ark Scientist is the best out of the three options, however the $20 triple pack for all 3 is probably the best choice.

All of them are targeted at different gameplay and situations.
If you like to make research and design stuff in the future colonization updates, pick the Ark Scientist.
If you like to explore planets and ultimately have more options than "just flee for your life", pick the Navy Lieutenant.
If you like the idea of knowing everything about your citizens and optimizing production output, morale, have the upper hand in regular events, pick the Elected Leader.
If you don't have time to play but don't want to miss on the alpha, pick the Triple Starter (at 20 USD), as it gives one starter of each once unpacked, and these three Origins won't exist in beta so you can still trade them later!

I do not really know what to expect from Away Teams, as my pure speculation was rather wrong last time. But perhaps my characters will see some use and face not only angry civilians but fierce aliens! ;)
And finally great news that the team got bigger and probably even more awesome! ;)
I didn't know anything about the away team feature but, if I have to say, A temporary force field surrounding the team. After a given time, let the armor, toughness, and whatever else available to the team take over. This may be completely off the mark but it sounded good as I was writing this :)
I could see this as a Beta armor or equipment card. Have a !PIZZA

Thanks for the welcome!! I am really excited about the future of this game. I understand that the test planets will basically be like weekly contract drops in the future which will be incredible.
Discovering artifacts/alien tech, resource deposits, specific alien life you can breed or utilize in some way, hostile aliens, survival gameplay and dangerous weather are some elements that would be interesting in away teams. And I like what someone else said about build sites.
Breeding and/or keeping alien animals could be very cool. Have a !PIZZA
