Dead Nature - Two new digital pieces
Hello sketchbook community! Hope you're doing good.
I haven't had RCs to stop by and say hi to the sketchbook community yet but now I managed to do it.
I'm currently working on a new painting series inspired by death and rebirth of nature and these are first two pictures that are going to get into the collection. It was a long process of developing the idea especially after long hard days of overtime working in the office, but it was so strong it managed to get out of the part of my mind which is delegated to getting ideas and overflow my whole being up to the point where I can only think of this... And imagery like this started popping out...
On the left side there's an upper part of a piece containing lavender, skull and bones. I kinda wanted to add many small bones to the upper part to act like branches fallen off the trees. And on the right there's a few red morels. Anyone who was searching for those knows what kind of treasure is that. These nutty brainy things are worthy of respect.
The middle of Lavender one also contains a few larger bones signifying that many large beings sometimes end up the same way as smaller ones. And Morels on the second part grow out of same bones that make us up.
And there's a few more glimpses into the pieces. It took me almost a week to finish these two as they were quite a challenge, nevertheless 4 more are going to be made. Also here is the full preview of the lavender/violet one.
And this one is the full preview of the morels. I don't know why but I'm drawn to these magical creatures so much that I'm planning to grow (more like hope) those in backyard in far future. Of course these aren't gonna be nearly as red as these are...
I can't decide which one I like better. The first one is way more complex, yet somehow those morels seem to draw my attention more... I know that these aren't perfect but I'd love to hear what you think and connect with you! Don't be shy to write down in the comments even if it is critique as I (hope again) can handle it.
P.S. I'm uploading these images to imgur so I hope the links work...

Good morning! It was nice to meet you today at The Terminal. You certainly have some talent, and your creations are quite amazing. It is funny you mention the word morel, as that was a topic being discussed just last night at my home. Here where we live, morel mushroom hunting is quite popular... and we do love to eat them! Back around 2013, my other half and I found a huge "honey hole" of morels... We were not able to get all of them, as they were growing in an area that was inaccessible due to some fallen trees. But what we were able to get, was shared between ourselves, and other family members. Here is a photo of a large cluster of morels being held by my other half:
Perhaps this could be a motivational image for you to keep creating your awesome graphics? 😁 One thing I would suggest (...and we can go into more detail at The Terminal) is to share with your readers what tools and devices you are using to create these amazing works of art you make! The concept of plagiarism... though not always a favorite topic, is still very important to keep in mind. Taking control of your content, by sharing what devices you are using, will keep others from not only questioning your creations but also let them know you care enough to share... and maybe even create more conversation! Please know I say these things with respect; I want everyone to succeed here...
I look forward to seeing more of your works, as well as getting to know more about your mindset, and what compelled you to create these works, to begin with... chat with you soon!

@wesphilbin Thank you so much for the welcome! Who could have guessed that morels are everywhere in our lives.. Unfortunately in my area these are not common, but at my home village we usually went hunting them. And congratulations on your morel bounty! It's actually a good thing that you couldn't pick some because of trees as they will regenerate the mycelium and maybe pop out in some close area in the later years... who knows..
Also about the plagiarism, we all hate it. Especially when it cannot be taken down from blockchain and can ruin its reputation. Fortunately you won't see this profile stealing artwork or even trying to pass derivative work without proper credit. If I do use a picture as a reference I will always link it. Also I will link my other social profiles to the hive account so you'll be safe there too! And I must admit I was a bit lazy when it comes to process details. I will definitely go into more details in my next post.
Thank you for curating, I hope to see you around soon and I wish you a great day!
