Greetings to you all on this beautiful day, I hope you are all doing great, it's a lovely day and I'm here to share with you the making of this cute hand bag I made for grandma for an event on Saturday.

Grandma is to attend an event schedule for Saturday and she needed a small purse where she can keep her phone, money, and other little items she will be going with, though, most of her outfit I made for her her usually with pockets but this time, she will going with other items than just her phone, so she will be needing a small hand bag which I promised to make for her.

Using a matching color of fabric with the outfit she intends to wear, I cut out the pieces needed to make the hand bag but before then, I drafted out the pattern of bag on a brown paper before it was transferred to the main fabric.

To make this pattern, I cut out 18 x 12" of brown paper

It was folded in 4 and on the opening, I marked 2.5" downward

I marked 3.5" on the line and divided the rest in two.

It was connected with a line and cut out through the lines

It was opened and placed on the main fabric to cut out same shape.

I cut out same shape of lining and interfacing which was ironed on the main fabric. On the fabric, i marked 1" on the 4 sides where I will sew the handle.

For the handle, I cut out 2 pieces of 22 x 3" which was folded and sewn on both sides.

The handle were sewn to the 1" mark I made on the 4 sides

I took my zipper and sew it on both sides with the lining, after which I top stitched on the right sides

It was zipped together and I sew the tips together as well.

It was turned to the right side and I have grandma's cute little bag ready.

Grandma will be so glad to have this bag, it looks so cute that I feel like to have it for myself, grandma can also take this to church as well after her event on Saturday.
