Happy new week to you all on this beautiful Monday, I hope you are doing great, I want to say a big thank you to you all for your beautiful comment, support, encouragement and the time spent reading through my post, that has really been an inspiration and encouragement for me to share my beautiful project with you.

Today, I will be sharing with you again as I usually do the making of this simple corner bookmark I made for myself.

There are so many ideas of bookmarks out there that are so nice but I find this very easy and simple to make, I love it because of how stylish it looks on my book. Bookmark are majorly to show an indication on where you stopped at when reading a book so as to remember when you come back to it, most of this bookmarks are made from wood, wool, cardboard and so on but as you know, all my project are usually done with fabric so I decided to make a bookmark for myself using fabric and the good thing is that, this can be made with scrap from fabrics, all you need to do is follow the step by step process to achieve it.

Let's get started with the cutting and sewing process.

From the scrap I have with me, I measured and cut out 3 pieces of 4 x 4" of same fabric but you can decide to use combinations of different fabrics all you need is just a 4 x 4"

I took one of the pieces and folded it in two in a triangle shape and sew the folded part.

I took the piece I sew on and placed it on one of the 2 pieces just as seen below and the last piece was placed on it right side to right side.

It was taken to the sewing machine and sew round, leaving an opening for it to be turned inside out.

It was turned inside out and ironed, that was all.

This is how it looks when used as a bookmark, it was placed on the corner of my book and inside the book to indicate where I stopped.

I hope you like my simple project, how useful it is and the beautiful outcome.
