DIY// making a simple power bank and charger pouch requested by my friend
Hello creative friends
Greetings to you all on this beautiful day in this creative community where we share all form of lovely creativity, I hope you are all doing great in your respective places, as for me, it has been a very nice day for me as I day a friend of mine who came to visit me, it has been a long time and I'm glad to have her around, though she didn't spend much time but the time spent was worth it, seeing most of my creativity I made for myself, she was happy that she almost wanted to go with them but I promised I will make whatever she want for her as long as it's what I can do, she made her request and I promised to get them done and send it over to her as soon as I'm through with them. This is one of her request and since it's a simple project that won't take long to finish, I decided to start with it
My friend asked me to make a pouch for her that she can accommodate her power bank and charger at the same time, I didn't want to make the usual ones, so I decided to make something different and stylish for her and this is what I came up with
Join me in the cutting and sewing process to achieve a beautiful result as this.
I cut out 3 pieces of 11.5 x 6" and after which I ironed an interfacing on them all.
One of the pieces was folded into two while I sew 0.5" the folded part just as seen below.
I took the second piece and placed the one I sew on it to form the pocket, both sides were sewn as well as the base.
To make the rope, I took a bais strip, folded it in two and sew it down to 12" then I cut it to 2 equal parts
I located the center of my project on the up and down and sew the rope on it.
The third piece which is the last piece was placed on the main project right side to right side and I trimmed the edges at the top with a curve and it was sewn together leaving an opening by the side for it to be turned inside out.
It was turned inside out, neatly ironed and top stitch round to cover the opening I left.
Finally, I had the power bank and charger put inside the pouch and i tied the rope to make it firm
Thanks so much @qurator for your support.
Your friend got a useful kit, albeit one would wonder if a much bigger and heavier phone would fit
This was specifically made for the size of her power bank and charger, if it's for a phone to fit in, then only the phone can without the charger. Thanks for your comment and support.
It looks impeccable in details and vibrant colors, very practical to carry the phone and charger.👌
Thanks for your beautiful comment, I really appreciate it.
I am very pleased to see such beautiful and well crafted work.🙂
