As you all know, Easter is fast approaching and, I had in mind to make something beautiful for my sister's little girls, with the achievement I made from the double flare short gown I made for them and I found out it was lovely on them and well appreciated, I decided to be making outfit for them anytime I have the opportunity, one opportunity has presented itself when now that Easter is just around the corner, I remembered I bought an old ASO OKE from my mom the last time I visited her which was set aside for awhile, then it occurred to me that instead of leaving it there, it's better I make good use of it for my nieces, I succeeded in making the first outfit from the old ASO OKE for the little girl in the family as I made a short gathered gown with half length and ruffles across the center front and it was so beautiful.

After the cutting and sewing process of this beautiful gown, I found out there is enough left over that can also be used to make an outfit for her elder sister, well, after thinking of the type of outfit to make, considering the remaining Aso oke, I then decided to make a straight gown for her, using the left over materials from the one I made for the little girl.

Getting started with the cutting and sewing process, from the remaining Aso oke, I cut out the lower part of the gown since it's a straight gown with half length, the lower part measurement was marked out on the fabric using the waist, hip and full length measurement just as seen below.

After successfully cutting out the lower part, I went ahead to cut out the upper bodice using the upper bodice measurement with a lower back neckline measurement. All these were cut out with same shape on the lining as well.

The the fabric and lining were sewn together for neat finishing.

The lower part was also sewn with lining.

On the front lower part of the gown, I made a side ruffles with the left over matching net from the little girl's outfit I made and it was looking nice, ithe front was sewn to the back with the side seam and zipper allowance.

The upper and lower part of the gown were sewn together, the remaining fabric was used to cut out a puff sleeves just as similar as the other one I made.

After sewing all these together, I had some left over net the I decided to use it to make ruffles on the center front as well with the same similarity with the little girl's own I made with gathered pleat and it has a beautiful outcome.

Finally, the sleeves were sewn to the armhole circumference and I have a complete outfit for my little niece.
